About this house rental
Escape the politics! Relax and refuel in quiet nature at our recently expanded family chalet in Upper Saranac Lake. Charming, quiet and comfortable, this home has welcomed visitors for more than 20 years. The bright and spacious first floor addition includes a separate dining room with a TV/ play nook. The living room is now doubled its former size and opens to a new deck overlooking the wooded landscape. The well-appointed and fully equipped kitchen is just off the living room. The first floor continues with a master bedroom suite with a king size bed, full bath and a private entrance, opening to a second porch with an outdoor shower. The laundry room completes the first floor. The second floor has 3 bedrooms, each with queen size beds, a private sitting area, and an office loft. The second-floor bath has both a full-size bathtub and a shower. Completing the living space is a one-bedroom guest house with a full bath and a sitting area.
A lovely eight-minute walk down our road brings you to the neighborhood beach on beautiful Upper Saranac Lake. The small, sandy beach offers a spectacular vista of the lake and High Peaks. The beach is perfect for small children, as its depth progresses very gradually.
The surrounding High Peaks and St. Regis Canoe areas offer an abundance of winter and summer activities, including golf at nearby Saranac Inn Golf and Country Club and access to some of the best canoeing and kayaking in the park. There is an easy drive to Whiteface Mountain and the villages of Saranac Lake and Lake Placid, and excellent hiking, biking and cross-country skiing right outside your door.

House is very comfortable and clean. Beds and bedrooms are all very comfortable. Difficult to locate the water for swimming, granted we did not look very hard, but we walked down the road every day and nothing was obvious.

The house was amazing. All the amenities. Newly upgraded. Clean. We could not have been happier with the place. Heartily recommend it. Not on the water but nearby water access.
