About this house rental
Terry’s Lake House is a beautiful family owned, waterfront home, overlooking pristine Lower Saranac Lake. It is located in the stunning Adirondack Mountains, in the town of Saranac Lake, and offers visitors the opportunity to choose just how to relax: a variety of nature activities, complete peaceful relaxation in a comfortable home with a gorgeous view, or a lovely town with restaurants and pubs to explore. (Better yet, take advantage of all of it!)
The lake house is designed specifically to accommodate families, although would be perfectly comfortable for any guests. The home has 3 bedrooms with the ability to sleep 9. The master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom a queen, and the bunk room has two bunk beds with a trundle bed underneath one bunk. There are two full bathrooms, one of which has double sinks. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dishes, glasses, and flatware and hosts a large island, which is the perfect spot to enjoy the stunning lake view through the large windows. The dining room can seat 8 people comfortably. You can also enjoy a cozy fire while relaxing on the living room couch or armchair. There is a large deck off the lakeside of the house and on top of the boathouse where you can relax, look at the lake, and listen to the loons. Linens and towels are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own beach towels.
The property has 150 feet of lakefront property with a private beach. Don’t forget to bring your fishing gear as Lower Saranac Lake is home to multiple species of fish. And of course, you could simply swim and enjoy the view! Please note, our property is not suitable for people who have difficulty with stairs or hills. Access to the lake requires walking up and down a steep hill. We welcome well behaved dogs; however they need to be crated when left alone. A pet fee will be required for guests bringing their dogs. No cats will be allowed. There is no smoking allowed inside any of the structures on the property. This listing is for family vacations only, we do not rent to fishing groups or allow any parties on this property.
Full weekly rentals (Sunday to Saturday) are required in the summer, and Christmas week. Weekend rentals (3 day minimum on holiday weekends) are available during the off season. Contact owner for pricing. Owner requires a signed contract to complete reservation.
We can provide recommendations for boat rentals, fishing guides, hiking spots, or other outdoor activities, as well as suggestions for good places to eat!

We had a very lovely stay at Terry's Lake House with nine adults and two small dogs for three nights in early April for the total eclipse. Everything was as described. Kitchen was amongst the most well-appointed of properties that I have stayed in on vacation. Although I don't believe it is mentioned or photographed, there is an outdoor propane grill and fire pit, both of which we enjoyed. Additionally, there is a very nice rooftop deck on top of the boathouse overlooking the lake that was perfect for relaxation. We did not make use of any of the boats. The king bed was very comfortable, as were the chairs in the living area. My guests did not complain about their sleeping situations either. Lastly, we were grateful for the useable garage spots as the driveway really only had room for two cars, three if compact.
Would happily stay again if in Saranac Lake! Thank you!

We loved our stay at terrys lake house. Very well stocked kitchen, comfy and cozy house. We enjoyed the views of the lake and cozying up by the fireplace. The bunk bed room is great for kids. Excellent stock of pillows and linens for a rental property. We went during the fall so we didn’t do much on the lake but would love to come back for a return visit in the summer months. Location is very close to hiking and the wild center in tupper lake. Fantastic spot for a family getaway.

We stayed at Andrea and Greg’s Home for 3 days to hike, kayak, leaf peak and visit our son attending Paul Smith College. Large, modern, elegant and comfortable well appointed home with view of lake from almost all back rooms (kitchen/living) and attached back porch. Lots of open window space, skylights add perfect balance of natural light in the morning. The boathouse had comfortable furniture, is a great place to stargaze. Perfect for large group, lots of space. Impeccably clean. Better than described and displayed in listing. There is a bit of a walk down a lawn hill to the lake and boathouse. Some with mobility challenges may find this difficult. The home has a beautiful and well stocked kitchen with all supplies needed to prepare meals. New appliances, amazing oven. We had an amazing time, can’t wait to go back. We enjoyed being outdoors during the warm days and perfectly cozy in the house and porch on cooler nights. We loved the gas fireplace! Stargazing galore. Lots of places to hike nearby, including high peaks, lakes to kayak. We visited the Wild Center, one of our favorite activities. We were sad to leave, can’t wait to return. Host highly communicative and responsive. Would highly recommend. Thank you Andrea!
