About this house rental

Come and enjoy our home in Morro Bay with its wonderful views of the
Morro Bay rock, ocean, and bay from the main floor. The home is
nestled in Morro Bay Heights, which is just far enough from the
noise yet close enough to all the "hot spots" in Morro Bay. The
waterfront and beaches are just a couple of minutes away. There is a
beautiful rock fireplace where you can enjoy cozy days or evenings.
The master suite on the 2nd floor has a spectacular view. During the
day, you see the Morro Bay Rock, the bay, and the ocean, and in the evening,
you see the city lights and beautiful sunsets. The home is spacious
(Approx. 1800 sq.ft.)has lots of character, comfort, and custom built by
the very man who saved the Morro Bay rock from being destroyed.
There is a large viewing deck in the back. There is a lot to do in
Morro Bay. You can enjoy the beach, surf, walk down the
waterfront/boardwalk, enjoy the many restaurants, unique boutiques,
fishing, boating, golf course is nearby, sightseeing, swimming, and
much much more. Close to Morro Bay is Pismo Beach, Avila Beach,
Shell Beach, and Cayucas. You can visit Hearst Castle. For more
information, please call us, do not email. Monthly rentals are
unavailable during the summer months. The home is not disabled accessible.

My family rents the house basically evry year and we are always pleased with the home. The location is great and the home is always clean when we arrive. We plan on returning on a yearly basis.

The house was as described, and the manager got right back to us when we contacted her regarding the dishwasher, not working and the light above the stove flickering and as of this review, a repair man was coming out on the day we left the home is large there are three bedrooms First bedroom does have a saggy mattress. Other two are good. There is limited seating in the living room if you cook there is everything in this kitchen, including slow cooker and multiple dishes and pots and pans to cook with open spaces weather was great close Morro Bay boardwalk quiet Internet, very spotty TV would go in and out, but overall, it is a nice home and reasonably priced we would return.

This is my second time renting this place, and it is just perfect for staying with my family when visiting our daugher. We live out of state, and it is so nice to have a kitchen and multiple bedrooms vs staying in a hotel room. We enjoyed a few home cooked meals together to give our daughter a break from the school food options. The house is a little older and the wood floors are creaky, but it is much quieter than most other lodging options and far better than a hotel. I feel it is a good value for the price. We will stay again.

This was close to everything. It sure would have been nice to have a view of the ocean on the main level but that's about all that I can complain about. The house was perfect for 3 of us. We each had our own room one upstairs and 2 on the main level. One bathroom upstairs and one down. It had a nice well stocked kitchen, dinning area living area and outdoor patio. It was located close enough to the main area of town that when one of our party took the car for the day, the other two of us were able to walk to the state park and to the downtown harbor area to explore without a vehicle. Morro Bay is a great little town to relax in, enjoy the water and use as a central location from which to see the surrounding sites.

The house is located in a very convenient area of Morro Bay. There is plenty of comfortable seating and sleeping surfaces. The kitchen is a very nice size. The view from the upper bedroom is GREAT, when the fog is not covering Morro Rock - which happened 5 of the 6 days we were there. There were 2 problems we encountered during our stay: 1) The notebook left out for renters to read states very clearly, The OWNER LIVES DOWNSTAIRS! This is the second time we have had this problem. This time, we never saw the owner, but feel someone came in the house while we were there, because the thermostat got changed a couple of times during our rental. 2) The other thing we REALLY had problems with is the lack of 3-prong outlets in the house. These days, almost every electronic device: computers, phones, tablets, have a 3-prong plug with which to charge it. We only found 1 plug we could use. If you plan to rent this house, take several adapters with you. Overall, this place is great for a family! Much better than staying in a hotel or motel!!

When we were planning our trip, we wanted to see if we could find a house to rent that was close to the price of a hotel so that we didn’t have to have us and our 3 kids in one hotel room. This was nice because the kids got to have different rooms and my wife and I didn’t have to go to bed the same time they did. The view from upstairs is gorgeous! The house is definitely old fashioned, which you can clearly see in the photos. That wasn’t what attracted us to the house, we were more excited about the location, price and view.

This is a home that was more than I expected! Fully furnished including a playpen in the closet! The front bedroom was where I stayed and it was very comfortable. My friend stayed in the upper bedroom. She said the view at night was spectacular. The upstairs bed is about ready to be replaced. Downstairs the water pressure was OK but it takes a while for the hot water to hit the sink and shower. Other than that, everything was spectacular! Such a great place. I plan on returning next year.

The house layout and bedrooms were all great. The beds were very comfy. We enjoyed the view and watching the Morro Bay Rock appear and disappear in the fog. The kitchen needs to be gone through. There was food stuck on pans and plates and the sponge that was provided had seen better days. Luckily we had brought a sponge so just used our own. We felt we had to wash everything we used before we used it. This was a bit problematic as the hot water at the kitchen sink just dribbles out. We did not use the dishwasher. We stay at a VRBO so we can eat all our meals in. The cleanliness of the kitchen is of upmost importance. The rest of the house was clean. There were many light bulbs that were burnt out. It was hard to see to go upstairs at night and I had to resort to my cell phone as a flashlight as no matter what switch we flipped, the light at the top of the stairs would not go on. Perhaps it too was burnt out. The house is old so there are many switches. It would be nice if they were labeled. It took us a bit to find the stove fan not to mention the switch for the garbage disposal. The rental rate, location and bedrooms were good but unfortunately because of the condition of the kitchen, we would not want to stay at this VRBO again. I am happy to submit photos of a dirty dish, burnt out bulbs and the disgusting sponge.

This house was located in a very convenient location. Everything was exceptionally clean and in order. Kitchen was very well stocked. The only thing that was a problem was that there was no hot water in the kitchen sink. Despite this small problem, I would highly recommend.

We had read good reviews of this house, but were even more impressed the moment we walked into the house - comfortable and spacious, and with our COVID concerns we were pleased to see the separation of bedrooms, so we could be separated for sleeping hours. It was a relaxed atmosphere where our family could relish being together after months of separation. It was clean and welcoming and in a great location to get everywhere we wanted to be. An unexpected treat - views of Morro Rock! We recommend this house for your vacation rental needs and when we return to Morro Bay we will definitely see if this house is available again. The owner was easy to contact by phone and obviously takes pride in her home and in making the rental process smooth and safe.
