Featuring an open layout with a spacious, fully-equipped kitchen and comfortable casual furniture for friends and family to relax, chat, play games or watch TV, it's great for entertaining with ample space and seating indoors and out. After an amazing day at the beach, you can still revel in the outdoors on the screened lanai on the main level or the open sun deck on the upper level. There's even a diverse collection of novels and island books for your reading pleasure.

As part of Sunset Captiva, a quiet 59-home community in the heart of Captiva Village, this Captiva Island vacation rental is a short walk to the historical Captiva district where you will find restaurants rich with island charm and fare, boutiques, galleries, and a small but well-provisioned grocery store. Sunset Captiva offers guests great amenities like a heated swimming pool, tennis courts, and a private boardwalk leading to the Gulf.

One thing that made this place less than perfect is that there is basically nothing there for you as far as supplies...mainly kitchen. No salt and pepper, no tin foil, no baggies for example. It just makes for a little frustration when you have to buy everything for a week’s stay. Other homes we have rented have some of these basics and it is really nice. The house is pretty nice but does feel a bit worn. Beds are not super comfortable. Kind of expected w vacation rentals sometimes. The location is great. The community pool is nice. Captiva is beautiful but not much to do as far as nightlife. A few mediocre restaurants which we were told are all owned by the same people so there isn’t really much for competition. Overall we love Captiva but this particular house was just okay.
