The Mouraria neighborhood is a typical Lisbon neighborhood known as the birthplace of Fado. It was in Mouraria that Severa lived, the first known fado singer in Portugal, in the 19th century and where Mariza grew up, considered the most international Portuguese fado singer today. Mouraria is still today the most multicultural neighborhood in the city.
Praça do Martim Moniz, overlooking the castle, has several fast food kiosks with terraces, commercial and cultural entertainment. It is in this square that there is a terminal of the famous tram 28.
2 minutes walk from Martim Moniz Metro Station. The apartment is very close to Baixa de Lisboa and Castelo de S. Jorge. The famous 28 tram station is located at Praça do Martim Moniz.
