Villa Gardenia - Casa Jazmín directly on the sea

Very hard to contact the host, I understand that he was away, but he should have had someone on site when we arrived or at least someone that would reply quickly by msg. We arrived late and had rouble to find the place. Case Jazmin was very nice, but a beer fridge does not do it for me. A full size fridge would be in order.

I have stayed here 3 times due to the tranquility of rustling palms & morning bird chatter.. ocean waves and view of sea horizon . I enjoy the proximity to stroll along a quiet path to the beach

Difficult connecting with Giorgio initially. A minimalist's dream casita. Very clean, spartan, quite with an amazing view from the roof top! Unique construction that really grew on us. Excellent shower with lots of hot water. Would recommend adding a few basics in the kitchen like a spatula and a toaster. The pool was a surprise. Not what I expected in being an above ground pool with a deck surround. Honestly, we left Giorgio's place reluctantly. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back!

Nothing like as represented, ocean view only from rooftop that has no shade and worn out chaise lounges. The view from ground level is blocked with a six foot wall of overgrown brush and completely unattended palms with massive hanging fronds. The only place to dine is a table on the lower deck with terribly uncomfortable chairs. No other comfortable reading or lounging chairs, had to drag a couple dirty chairs from the yard onto the deck to resemble anything near comfortable for reading, but hindered with poor lighting after sunset. The "pool" is an above ground small shallow unit good only for soaking. Kitchen is not useable for any real cooking, tiny fridge, no microwave, sparsely equipped with coffee maker and blender the only appliances, minimal pots and pans. The faucets were backwards, loose in their mountings, and leaked. Booked a two week stay and no drinking water was provided, had to request it. Access road so bad your car could be damaged if not extremely careful. The saving grace was the lady attendant who was extremely nice, kept the unit as clean as possible given it's shabby condition, gave us clean (good) towels daily, bed sheets changed when requested. Simply cannot understand positive reviews, maybe "quaint" for a night or two? We have watched his place deteriorate for over twenty five years, previous visit was 5-6 years ago, this is obviously our last.
