About this house rental
Casa Caballos is an amazing one bedroom with a hand made King bed, one bath casita with probably the coolest outdoor kitchen I've seen. Set amongst the litchi trees and under this big mango tree, Casa Caballos has this sweet water canal running alongside.
It has a king, four-post handmade bed and three glass doors and a full bathroom. It's made out of brick and we put mud in the concrete between the brick. The roof is tile and there are pine logs, so the whole casita is all natural materials and good energy. It's located kind of in the center of the ranch. So peaceful.
The ranch is like Narnia! It has a peaceful and serene energy that makes everyone feel like they are part of something special. It's so amazing for exploring fun and we have a friendly open policy for guests to be able to use the swimming pool, tennis court and walk through the trees just exploring. The casitas are all about 50 yards apart. The ranch and the casitas have never been about the money. The ranch is about people who want to experience something special. After all, it's a working mango ranch! Why rent a house when you can rent a casita and be a part of a mango ranch. In the early mornings, there are hundreds of doves calling you. It's amazing! Evenings can be spent with our chimineas lit with crackling wood. The tennis court is grass and easy on the knees. The humane society dogs have all been healed by the serene energy of the ranch and they will walk you around and tell you their stories. The beach is literally a couple hundred yards - just the perfect distance. Believe me, you don't want to live right on the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean can talk. When you're living right on the beach in Baja it's very barren from salt and cold breezes in the late afternoon. It's a fun 200 yard walk to the beach down our driveway and then a small dirt road, Coming back to the warm ranch always feels good.

One of the best parts about the ranch is that we are located near all the great restaurants that provide farm to table food, like the Esquina restaurant. Lattes. Smoothies. Life juices. Big yoga center called Four Winds. Really amazing local hangout about 300 yards. Breakfast here every day.
Also 300 yards is Logan Logan with the The best grilled seared tuna burger poke bowls and sushi ever. It’s right where the dirt road becomes a paved road as you head back to town. David Logan even delivers and we supply his phone number. So you could have your burger delivered right to the ranch because we were so close to them. Haha.
Pacifica fish tacos, Patrick has a really great recipe for the best fish tacos ever. It’s all right there at 300 yards. In the Town Square where the church is, which is about 700 yards from the ranch, there are now many boutique shop and very bohemian vibe. There’s lots of little cafés and restaurants that are really really great and cute. Cerritos beach, which was voted Mexico’s number one surf and boogie board beach is only 12 minutes away. All of our guests love getting up and having some food and hanging out and then going to the beach around nine or 10 AM and then enjoying that safe fun beach. Then coming back and being back in the warmth and serenity of the ranch. Cerritos has no food so it’s a perfect plan.

Every morning when you wake up, you walk outside your house to the sound of 1000 birds chirping and talking to each other. At night there are stars everywhere as you sit around the fire pit and have great conversations. The rescue dogs come over and greet you and walk you around and tell you the story. There is music and relaxing and camaraderie like you’ve never experienced. Saludos dirk

CASA CABALLOS Located On Rancho Danza Del SolOur stay here was great. It was a combination of wonder, exploration and relaxation. The owner, Dirk did a very good job at keeping us informed and answering any questions we had. The rescue dogs that are on site are extremely friendly and will give you lots of healing doggie love! You can pick fresh mangoes and tomatoes from the garden. There is a very laid back feeling to the whole place. It is an amazing place to rest recover and heal. We will be telling all our friends about this place and we will definitely come back to stay!

We have stayed in Toto Santos a total of eight times and this is our favorite so far. While there are several different houses on the property, they aren’t close to each other so you get the feel of being the only one there. Dirk was extremely helpful with recommendations And kindness. We are dog lovers so we became attached to several of the rescue dogs on the property. We will be telling our friends about this place and look forward to return on our next trip.

If you love sweet rescue dogs and the people who give them a haven, you delight in hearing and seeing a variety of amazing birds, and you welcome the chance to dwell for a spell among dozens of beautiful lychee, mango, coconut and other tropical trees, this may be the place for you. However, if your idea of rustic includes a clean bathroom, an actual kitchen, consistent electricity, and a place to hang your clothes, this casita may not be for you. Regarding host communication, direct, clear and concise answers were hard to get. Instead, I received a plethora of repetitive, unrequested information and advice rendered with plenty of deflective asides.About WiFi, the host reassured me it was excellent. Come to find out, it’s just available in one location on the property, not at all in the dwelling where I stayed. The misrepresentation turned out to be a considerable inconvenience and yes, there was advice about relying on the internet. I loved the dogs and the natural beauty of the place. I adored the stately palm trees lining the drive into the ranch (though the gate closure and bumps on the road were ridiculous). The bed was comfortable, the water pressure and temperature good. I loved not having to lock or even close my door. I loved knitting beside a criollo mango tree and watching the birds feast on its fallen fruit. Deeply relaxing.
