Gite housed in a former farmhouse located in a rural hamlet, near the Chinon forest and the Indre Valley, on a two-hectare wooded park. Wines can be purchased from winegrowers recommended by the owner. A truffle farm has been established on the estate for three years.
Ground floor: 27 m² living room-kitchen (multifunction oven, non-convertible sofa), 1st bedroom (two 90cm single beds), 2nd bedroom (one 140cm double bed), shower room, toilet. Electric heating (charges extra depending on meter reading). Color TV. Wi-Fi. 20,000 m² unfenced landscaped garden shared by the gite and the owner, open garage. Baby cot and high chair available for loan. Firewood provided. Optional rental of two adult-sized electric bikes (for a fee). End-of-stay cleaning included. Swings and pétanque court are available, along with equipment. Non-smoking accommodation. This cottage, located in a hamlet, was renovated in 1995 in keeping with traditional construction. Don't forget to visit the village of Cheillé, where you'll notice the three-hundred-year-old oak tree that grew through the church walls at the Château de l'Islette (the site of Camille Claudel's and Auguste Rodin's passionate love affair).
A perfect setting for hiking in the Chinon Forest, 500 meters away (near the GR3), and numerous hiking and cycling trails (the Indre by bike in the heart of the Indre Valley, so dear to Balzac). Canoeing and kayaking on the Indre River are also available.
Close to the Châteaux of Azay-le-Rideau, Villandry, Langeais, Rigny-Ussé, Chinon, Rivau, and Saché. A stone's throw from the troglodyte village and basketry of Villaines-les-Rochers, the pear tapée in Rivarennes, and the riverside village of Bréhémont.
