Not a bad option for the price

The price for the week was very reasonable and I think appropriate. I wouldn’t expect this property to get high ratings, but you get value for the price. All of the properties in the park were well maintained and the park is quiet. It’s obvious the people living there take great care of their properties.

The unit had a remote thermostat which was left in an area that wasn’t easily found. It was set to 17 degrees and cold when we arrived. I messaged the owner about wifi and the thermostat, but never heard back. Luckily we found the thermostat. It was equipped with a few basics like dish washing soap, toilet paper, and trash bags. It would have been nice to also have a roll of paper towels and a box of tissues to get us started before we went to the store.

Great stay, friendly host.

The host was very kind and helpful. The chalet was spotless. The site is very quiet and well kept.

The only minor issue is the site location: - There is no pavement going into Dornoch, so if you want to walk, you will need to walk on a 60mph road (dangerous at night). - Whilst dogs are welcome, they are not allowed to do their business on or around the site. Due to the lack of pavement, they cannot be walked in the vicinity of the chalet. Therefore, a short drive to the beach/town is required when walking the dog.

Renovation and deep clean required!

With respect, there was nothing I actually liked about this caravan! So much so that I couldn't stay in it. The owner was very understanding and said this property really needed an upgrade! They moved me to another caravan they owned on the site, it was beautiful and I had an enjoyable holiday. Only fault in thd second van - No WiFi was avaliable!

On entering the property I was instantly hit with a musty smell. It was quite dark in the lounge/kitchen area, the sofa was grubby looking, and the laminate on top of the dining table was bubbled. It was not a very welcoming sight! I proceeded through to the double bedroom and was instantly hit with a stale cigarette smell, I actually could taste it in my mouth! The headboard was cloth but again looked dirty. I went to open the window and noticed the surround was quite dirty, I gave it a wash and it looked better. In the twin bedded room the mattress on one of the beds needs replacing, it was indented in the middle!! I went back to the lounge area and read the customer comments book, I thought I was standing in a different property!! Unfortunately, I think the photos on Booking.com were perhaps taken when the caravan was relatively new as they did not reflect what I was looking at. I decided I could not stay in this van and phoned the owners, they were very good, couldn't have been more helpful, they moved me to a different property immediately. Until renovations and a deep clean is carried out, I would not recommend this property.

Arrival instructions wrong . Unable to contact owner or bookings.com for over 45mins and just lucky we finally got a contact number . Owner knew instructions were incorrect but made no effort to make sure we could contact them . Very disappointing start . Impossible to contact booking.com. Instructions need fixing ASAP

Lovely quiet site. Home was clean and well equipped, just exactly what we needed. Didn't realise it was an ensuite so that was a delightful bonus too. Been ages since we last stayed in this type of accommodation, things have improved immensely. Home had everything we needed and nice touch with shortbread too.

A great place for relaxing. Probably more suitable for adults. Loved the cleanliness.

Location was excellent. We like it quiet so suited us very well. The grounds were extremely well looked after too. Immaculate indoor accommodation with all that you require. Very welcoming touches for us and our pet. Great communication with owners. The cleanliness was impressive and much appreciated.

Perhaps the outside seating area could have a little update so that it matches the interior..

A warm welcome with the extra touches for Christmas. Thanks We had our dog with us and we didn’t feel he was unwelcome. The fence made it easy for him to be outside.

Lovely caravan in an excellent location and the most careful, considerate host.

What a lovely caravan - great facilities, comfortable and cosy. The host could not have been friendlier and went way beyond to ensure our little toddlers enjoyed their stay. The site is excellent. All was good. We will be back!

Cozy peaceful stay

The caravan is beautiful with all you need for a wee escape. It is well kitted out and it was spotless inside and out. The location is lovely and quiet and it is only a couple of minutes from Dornoch. We travelled as a family of 4 and it was perfect for us. On arrival there was a wee welcome pack with Irn Bru, biscuits and coffee pods which was a nice touch. Communication with the owner Kerri was top class and I have absoloutley no complaints. They have got all the little things spot on which makes a big difference.

There is nothing I didn't like about this holiday home or its location.
