About this house rental
The lake views are SPECTACULAR! This is a private lake property located on two acres with direct, private access to soft sand, and your much needed fun in the sun. The lake can be viewed, without obstruction, from multiple rooms within the home. There's no bluff so there's no need to climb down steep stairs to access the beach area. Everyone of all ages will be able to enjoy the lake, together!
The cottage has an OPEN CONCEPT layout, and is WELL MAINTAINED with modern accommodations, specifically set up for a relaxing getaway and enjoyment by the lake. Imagine waking up to a beautiful sunrise every morning and having your coffee with your toes in the sand. The beautiful sunrise is why we named this place the Sunrise Lake House.
The cottage is very well stocked with many amenities so there's less you have to pack or remember to bring. The house uses city water and also includes a water filtration system for the purest drinking water which comes out of its own drinking spout accessible from the kitchen. The cottage includes free Wi-Fi, flat screen TVs, a coffee station, washer/dryer, outdoor grill, beach toys, and games for both children and grown ups, a fire pit, indoor/outdoor dining areas, bath towels, beach towels, bed linens, and even a pack 'n play (with sheets and mattress), just to name a few of the amenities.
This lake house is walking distance from restaurants, a historic museum, a public basketball court, tennis court, the Port Sanilac Harbor and a children's playground, (which you can get to by walking along the beach)! Also, nearby, is downtown Lexington, a 15 min. drive to cute boutiques for shopping and additional restaurants.
There is also a small but well stocked grocery store and gas station right across the street for your convenience, and plenty of access to a number of ice cream parlors. I know how valuable your time is especially your time spent with friends and family. My goal is to provide a wonderful experience for you and your guests while at the lake property and to help slow down time during your stay (figuratively speaking of course since I'm unable to physically alter time) so you can focus on relaxing, having fun and creating great memories.

We come to Port Sanilac every summer to enjoy Lake Huron and this is our favorite place to stay. It’s very clean, very accommodating, the beds are comfy, there’s a gas station/market directly across the street and the views are absolutely perfect!! There’s a reason it’s called The Sunrise Lake House…you’ll have to wake up at sunrise to find out for yourself! We would definitely stay again and again!

Check-in was easy enough with a lockbox/key, and the kitchen was well appointed with the basics. The beds were comfortable and the linens were cozy. The views were wonderful, and the amenities for enjoying on the beach were great! Plenty of activities for kids, both inside and out!

This home is beautiful perfection. The views of the water are maximized by the banks of windows in the living area, kitchen and two of the five bedrooms. The airy, open, light-filled spaces are complete with beautiful, thoughtful decor. Your family and friends will never want to leave because, rain or shine, there is so much to do here. I cannot begin to list the boxes of every detail. It is like living in your favorite beach house movie set. The setting is bucolic and yet there is a gas station and general store within walking distance. Unbelievable!The owner is an excellent and prompt communicator. This property set a very high bar for a VRBO experience. Look no further. There is no better.
