The room was exactly as described and matched both the photos and the listing. The air conditioning was a huge plus, especially considering how hot it was during our stay. The staff were very responsive. We had a small issue with the air conditioning on our first night, and they came first thing the next morning to fix it. They even brought us a fan to keep us comfortable while we waited for the technician. The location is another major advantage. It’s just a short walk from the Old Town, so everything is easily accessible on foot. We were also pleasantly surprised by how quiet the property was. The other guests staying in the nearby rooms were very respectful, and we were not disturbed by noise at all, despite some of the comments we had read before our stay.

The only minor downside was that there was a rather unusual smell in the room and throughout the house. It wasn’t a major issue, but it was a little unpleasant to notice every time we came back. Other than that, everything else was great, and we were very satisfied with our stay.

This is a true Portuguese guest house. This place is great. You are greeted by a wonderful Tia across the street who gives you your room keys. My room was spotless as well as washroom and bedsheets etc. AC worked great and it’s very quiet at night. Located in a great location for walking and getting to transit. As a solo female I felt comfortable and safe. I highly recommend.

WIFI not the greatest.

Eventhough the host was incredibly nice and trying to be helpfull, I wouldn't recommand this place. The location is awesome, so if that's your only priority, than I would recommand booking the place. Wi-Fi doesn't work, host speaks no English and there is an outside, a terras, but with no view and full of birdpoo. Ans the bed/matras are very hard, like sleeping on a wooden planc. I wish I could write more positive notes, because the host was a very old lady, who tried her best and was really nice.
