About this house rental
Luxury living meets peaceful serenity. This beautiful destination spot on the shores of Lake Cushman with its breathtaking views of the lake and the Olympic Mountains is waiting for you! Disconnect from the hustle and bustle of modern life and reconnect with nature, family and friends. Kayak and swim from your own private dock, roast marshmallows at your own fire pit, or sip hot cocoa by the fireplace. The possibilities are endless! Life jackets for infants and adults are provided along with three fiberglass single kayaks and one double kayak. If you plan to bring your own boat, please let us know ahead of time as passes are required for launching and parking at this lake. This home offers a well stocked and recently upgraded kitchen with everything you might need, you just provide the food! Home includes washer/dryer, luxury grill, fire pit and skewers for roasting marshmallows, landline phone (Note: no cell phone at the property) high chair, crib, board games galore, large screen TV with surround sound, DVD collection, and a generous selection of books and children's toys. Wifi available. Electric Car Charging Station.
This home can comfortably accommodate 8 guests between the 3 bedrooms and two extra comfy pull out sleeper sofas. (Please note: The nightly rates listed are for a maximum of 6 guests. There is an additional nightly charge of $50/night for each additional guest.) The master bedroom features sweeping views of the lake, organic cotton king sized bed and en suite bathroom. Main floor features two bedrooms and an additional full bathroom: two sets of twin US Grown organic cotton bunk beds in one room, and another tastefully decorated room with a queen sized bed. Two full sized pull out sleeper sofas in the living room feature luxurious hypoallergenic, spring/inflatable combo mattresses, no wimpy couch mattresses here! One folding pack and play crib also available. Kids are welcome - unfortunately we are not able to accommodate pets. Thank you for understanding. Amazing property; such a great view! It has it's own dock with kayaks, but there is also a pass to visit the private beaches. There are plenty of kitchen appliances and tools to make cooking such a breeze. The rest of the house is full of great amenities for all ages (games, toys, books, rock painting and other crafts). There is a Blackstone griddle on the deck, but it would need a grinder and multiple layers of seasoning before I would consider using it. It's not even close to being a deal breaker, but in case you see it in the photos, consider this your heads up. We ate every meal outside on the deck and soaked in the lake life. Our whole family loved the trip and we look forward to coming back repeatedly.

I don't think you can beat the view you have from this home in any property. We've stayed at a lot of homes over the years, but this was the best view. Lake Cushman and Mt. Olympic are stunning from the main living space and deck. The home had all that you would need for a comfortable stay and plenty of space. My only complaint is that the beds in the rooms had extremely stiff mattresses and the downstairs bed frame was so creaky, if you moved during the night it would make noise and wake your significant other up. The thing we didn't quite anticipate accessing the property. The driveway is steep and downhill with other properties utilizing the same small driveway. We had two large vehicles and navigating the space was challenging. I can't imagine accessing the property in the winter or in challenging weather. The property is also slightly farther from Hoodsport than I had anticipated. That's not a big deal, but I want others to know. We took a day trip to Lake Quinault and another day trip to Port Angeles. Both were fair drives, but this was a nice midpoint to work from. Other things we checked out were the High Steel Bridge and the Staircase path. Overall, this was a nice place to stay that I would recommend.

The only vacation rental we’ve rented more than once as we like trying new places. However this locale and the views from this home are unbeatable. Had a great time with the kayaks on site too.
