Nestled in Shelter Island Heights, this spacious and beautifully appointed home is the perfect getaway for families looking to enjoy the best of Shelter Island.
Ideally located just a 10–15 minute walk from the North Ferry (easily accessible via the LIRR or Hampton Jitney) the house is also only a short 10–15 minute walk in the opposite direction down a charming dirt road to Crescent Beach, home to both Sunset Beach and The Pridwin.
Designed for relaxing, entertaining, and spending time together, the home features an enormous living room, separate family room, and a large dining room with seating for 14 guests. The fully equipped chef’s kitchen includes a double-oven Viking range, Bosch and Fisher & Paykel appliances, and everything you need for cooking and hosting at home, plus a large Weber grill on the deck for outdoor dining.
The house comfortably accommodates families and larger groups with five bedrooms, including:

We are just back from a glorious August week at this lovely house. We were already excited by the pictures and early conversations with the lovely owner, but the reality was even better!
The house is large and comfortably and so well appointed (e.g., lovely soap, all the cooking stuff you could ever need, tons of games, beach accessories, hammocks, seating aplenty everywhere, fresh flowers, etc.). The location is spot-on -- you can walk to town and also to a number of beaches, but you are on a quiet street with limited traffic and a huge backyard.
We were two families with four very small children between us and the house was the perfect size. Everyone had plenty of space to do their own thing and to be together.
I cannot say enough good things about this spot and about Rob who was such a gracious and easy host during every interaction.

The house is beautiful, well maintained and private. It had everything we needed. Our whole family - at every age - was so comfortable and able to relax completely. The location is perfect near restaurants and beaches, and an easy walk into town. Perfect spot on a perfect island.

No pool no problem. No water view no problem. Great house fully equipped in the kitchen and elsewhere Great location with nice walks into the the village for a snack, dinner, shopping or just a nice stroll among the old Victorian homes in the heights. A hospitable and responsive host is an added blessing. Enjoy.

Highly recommend! Outstanding, beautiful house! Our family was in town for a wedding and very happy we stayed here: Private & tranquil setting, spacious, clean & tastefully renovated, everything needed is there—plentiful & top quality, lots of group gathering spaces with ample & comfy seating, bedrooms comfy w/good closet & bath. Great Location: close to everything, 10-15 minute walk to town/restaurants/North Ferry/public golf course. Owner Rob is easy to deal with, responsive, accommodating and kindly welcomed us with a bottle of wine. Can’t wait to return! Highly recommend.
