About this cabin rental
Cute cottage in a quiet area close to all the action in the York Beach area. ¼ mile to Short Sands Beach and ¾ mile to Long Sands Beach and the scenic Nubble Light House. Restaurants, shops, arcades and entertainment are just a short walk away.
Cottage is nicely decorated and sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. One bedroom has a full size bed and the other has bunk beds. There is also a full futon in the Living Room for an overnight guest or two. Open concept living room and kitchen area. Large outdoor patio area has lots of chairs for hanging out and has a dining table and gas grill. Patio is tucked away in an area with a canopy of trees. There is also a small front deck on the cabin with chairs for enjoying your morning coffee. Sheets and towels can be rented for $40 per room/double occupancy ($20 for just sheets).

We’ve stayed at York Beach many times over the years. Mostly long weekends at the Union Bluff. This year we decided to rent a cottage and we’re glad we did. The place was perfect for us and an easy walk to short sands. I’m a real early bird so I get up at 4am and each morning got out for a sunrise walk and it was great. The weather was awesome except for one day . So if you like to walk a little you’d never need your car if you planned on spending most of your time at Short Sands with all the shops and restaurants! We left on the 4th of July and the homes and town was very festive and patriotic! Thanks Peter and Lori for a nice stay!!Steve and Sue

I took my 3 teenage granddaughters for a short visit to Maine. We stayed at our favorite "little yellow cabin" for 2 nights. It was cozy, clean, and very well-equipped - even having boogie boards and an umbrella for the beach! Though overcast, we enjoyed the waves at the beach, a lobster boat cruise, eating salt water taffy, and lobster at local restaurants. A perfect getaway for me & my grands!

Very close to the beach which is great, and a lovely walk, beds are comfortable, kitchen is serviceable, washer and dryer is a fantastic plus, but the whole place has an air of shabbiness. Walking in, the smell was not great – perhaps it needs a deep clean? Front door needs to be replaced, as well as the screen door, and while the front door has a deadbolt, the doorknob is not securely attached. Sitting on the front porch was very nice, but one car was tight – having two might be difficult. Back sitting area was disappointing – it is mainly just a hodgepodge of chairs and no real sitting area. The area is very expensive so this price point is probably appropriate. You do get what you pay for. Would likely not rent again.
