La Dolce Vista

This apartment is such a gem and Anna and her husband were very warm and welcoming. The views are unreal from the balcony, and the location is so convenient for doing everything you want to do on Lake Como (it is a bit of an uphill walk up from town). The apartment felt more like staying at a family members home than a vacation rental. Extra appreciated from us was the list of local activities for the week - we went to two of them and they were the highlights of the trip. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Lenno is a lovely retreat from the busy towns. Fabulous for exploring the Lake’s attractions either bus to Menaggio or ferries to Como, Bellagio & Varenna. The apartment has amazing views, easy to swim every morning with a steep 10-min walk back up to apartment. The old Roman-Antica pathway of cobblestones were a charming discovery (part of the Lake Como Greenway hiking path). The local square and lake-side promenade has a few bars/restaurants & a great gelateria. Weekly Tues morning market has cheeses, seafood and fresh produce with numerous clothing stalls. Anna was very helpful explaining local transport, events and recommendations. Note for SatNav - Apartment actually in Mezzegra not Lenno but it’s the closest by foot to access (Via Pola doesn’t connect through for cars becomes a narrow pedestrian/bike lane only).

If you’re planning on staying Summer 2026 check whether the neighbouring building work is still going on. Anna was very apologetic although it’s beyond her control. Sat & Sun were quiet though, unfortunately, on other days substantial noise started from 7am.

We had an excellent stay at La Dolce Vista. The apartment is spacious, comfortable, and very well equipped, with everything needed for a holiday on Lake Como. The highlight is undoubtedly the spectacular view, which can be enjoyed from a small private terrace. Anna was a very friendly and helpful host. On arrival, we were welcomed with a bottle of Prosecco, two large bottles of water, and a selection of coffee and tea, which was a nice touch. The location is great – around a 10-minute walk to the marina, ferry terminal, restaurants, and lakeside promenade. A supermarket is only an 8-minute drive away. The walk back to the apartment is quite steep and can be demanding, but the outstanding views and peaceful surroundings more than compensate for it. Overall, this is an excellent place to stay when exploring Lake Como. Highly recommended.

Het uitzicht vanaf balkon en appartement op het Comomeer is fantastisch. Het appartement is erg mooi en goed uitgerust. Goede bedden. Anna is een vriendelijke en goed bereikbare gastvrouw en heeft allerlei leuke tips.

Helaas waren er bouwwerkzaamheden dichtbij het appartement, die het uitzicht en de rust beïnvloedden. Hier kan de gastvrouw niets aan doen, maar het is toch minder leuk in je vakantie. Het was onverwacht erg warm (30 graden in mei), waardoor de klim vanuit het dorp/de haven terug naar het appartement toch wat tegenviel.
