We stayed for one night and the experience was overall pretty bad, I'd do everything I can to stay another place if I visited Iceland again. The owners/stuff are nowhere to be found. The facilities are subpar, there's 2x showers for the entire place for what felt like 25 -30 people. In the morning at 8:00AM there were multiple people going up and down the stairs trying to grab bathroom that was available. It felt like the hunger games. For the amount of people the hostel hosts, the kitchen area was super small. I'm not sure if this is because there were multiple groups when we were there, but both in the evening ~9pm and at 8am when we tried to sue the kitchen, there were over 6-7 people there cooking everything from burgers to slicing multiple chicken breasts etc. There was a large group of 10 tourists who were super loud past 11pm at hotel main floor, we had to repeatedly ask them to stop making noise. My recommendation to the hotel would be to have more presence at the hostel, we never saw anyone who worked there and actually enforce the rules. Also, considering the amount charged, it should be mentioned that multiple of the rooms are located in the basement of the house.
