This luxury Italy vacation rental is just minutes from the Duomo, Anfiteatro, Via Fillungo, Train Station, Bus Station and other must-sees. While it puts you close to Renaissance masterpieces, the apartment’s interiors reflect modern Tuscany, and the one-bedroom layout is perfect for couples and honeymooners.Leave your car at the door of the elevator, in the underground private fenced parking. The elevator takes you from the garage to the apartment door—the city’s major sights are close enough that you can walk from the apartment so you can simply get up and start your day of sightseeing. At the end of a long day of walking or sampling Lucca’s specialties, relax in front of the television or share photos with the apartment’s Wi-Fi.The fully equipped kitchen, which is fully equipped down to a dishwasher, where you can prepare meals or snacks to enjoy at the dining area for four. The TV is provided with SKY TV with movies in several languages and International Channels, rooms are air conditioned, washing machine and clothes dryer is provided.In a truly luxurious touch, PICCIONIA Apartment has one bedroom and one bathroom. Both train station and bus station are reachable with a short walk of approx. 15 mins so daily trips to Cinque Terre, Florence, Pisa, Siena, Bologna and many others will be so easy.A baby crib and an highchair can be added upon request.HEATING IS CHARGED EXTRA FOR 7 euros daily to be paid upon arrival.LAYOUT:The apartment is on the 2nd floor with elevator. On the lower ground floor there is a private parking spot.Entrance; sitting/dining – room with a kitchen corner; bathroom (shower); master bedroom.The rental property is located outside the restricted area called ZTL area (Limited Traffic Area, accessible only by permanent residents and people with special permission) thus you can drive to it and park in the underground garage (place for one car only included in the rent).
Heating and air conditioning operate via a centralized system, and seasonal activation dates are determined annually by the building administration.

The place is relatively modern with all necessities and the private parking place to have a place within the wall is great!! The perfect place to stay when spending time in Lucca.

The apartment was light, comfortable and well equipped. Wide views across the park to the hills give a sense of space which is very special considering it is accommodation within the old town. The on-site private parking for our car was a real benefit
At times we experienced intrusive noise coming from the public park late into the evening. There is nothing the owners can do about this but it merits comment in the feedback. Closing the double glazed windows and doors can largely overcome this.

Even though Casa Piccionaia is in the northeast quadrant of the city, it is close to everything: the wall, the anfiteatro, great restaurants, the Lucca Italian School, the train station et cetera. Out point person, Elizabeth Petrini, was extremely helpful throughout our time in Lucca. She was great ! The apartment itself was safe, clean, quiet, and good size for a couple. We'd rent it again in a heartbeat - hopefully for a month next year.
Might I suggest: a shelf in the shower for toiletries, a larger supply of toilet paper, a change of sheets and towels ?
