Nice property but sadly won’t ever stay again due to how uncomfortably hot it was

It is a fabulous area, for nature and cycling enthusiast, it’s perfect. We cycled 60 klms to lac Bourget and then the other way to Bassy. The cycle ways are super! So location wise for cycling the property is perfect.

There are quite a few things I wasn’t happy with. We booked a double room which is nice enough. However with no air con and in summer, the heat is beyond bearable in the room. We had to sleep with the doors open with all the midgies and mosquitos. There is no fridge so you can’t even have cold water. They do provide a fan but a small desktop one. When we enquired about the lack of fridge we were told it was an ecological decision not to have one in the double rooms, only the family rooms. Not sure how a small desktop fan sucking up all the electricity features into ecology but that was the answer we were given

Lovely bird-themed cabins by the Rhône.

Lovely little places to stay with cute walkways leading up to them. Your building is named after a bird (mine was greylag goose). Lots of recreational facilities nearby.

Cleanup is done by the guest. The way the stairs are set up you can't see what bird your building is if you are on the upper floor without leaving and walking the long way around. Yes these are extremely minor negatives but there's not really many actual negatives.

Hello, there has been no air conditioning system, and in the end of August we had 35 to 40 degrees. Air conditioning was mentioned in the review. They lied to us.

Great Location with great views

Reception was not reachable under the provided telephone number. Very hot in the room, probably also due to the request to leave the room on the highest radiator level!! It was hot outside, took us quite some time to realise the radiator was heating the room even at more than 30°C outside. Just a waste

The hotel is all inclusive (all instructions are given at the reception) This hotel has a very nice lake - the children really enjoyed swimming in it. Quite beautiful rooms, cool design of buildings.

Upon check-in (which was very late - at 4 o'clock), we were delayed 300 € in deposit. In general, we were given ‘refuge in the instructions’. It was necessary to fulfill not very pleasant conditions: take the bed linen there, throw out the garbage, wash all the dishes in the kitchen and put them in place, hand over the card to the third place. It was a little difficult to do everything, since we had to leave at 04:00 🕓 (it was dark outside, in the dark we had to look for a place to put the laundry, there was little time left ..). But the hotel had a very good ‘cleaning training’ - (I had to keep an eye on the children so that they didn't litter and clean up by themselves - I didn't want to lose 300 €.)

The location is beautiful, there is a lot of green and space to be outside. The units are well designed, with everything that you need.

Only one issue: when we opened the window at night, soooo many bugs came in. There should be insect screens on the windows.

awful, small, no staff, no aircon, no food, expensive

not a lot

there was no aircon and the room was a lot lot smaller than expected… there were no staff when we arrived and everything was shut including restaurant. without aircon it was dangerous to stay with our dog so we left. hugely disappointing. felt like we got catfished by this place as the pictures and description are very different to what we actually got.

apparently some sort of eco village but all the bedding comes in plastic wrap . rubbish bins to recycle hard to find . individually packaged tiny cleaning things . really isn’t eco

Nice from the outside. It’s a pity.

The architecture from the outside is great. I like the concept. Also the area / nature is fine.

The inside is poor. The furniture is awful. The beds are short (1.9 m). In the room with the kitchenette is a massive table with six chairs and a big sofa. Plus some smaller items. It’s ways too cramped. Less would be more. The materials give a super cheap impression. The ventilation of the kitchenette blows the air not outside. It only tries to filter it. It was very smelly. The kitchenette was dirty. We decided not to use it. The bed linen - which we had to attach ourself - were full of hairs. There’s zero soundproof to the neighbors.

Futuristic and new apartments. If you like "go high" in trees or a quiet spot a long Rhone river don't hesitate to book. It is isolated but the restaurant at the site serves good food. You must remove linen and towels your self on departure. No problem

Very clean, staff very friendly. Room in good condition. Quiet, peaceful location.

Sadly in the heat of the summer with no aircon it was not a good night - especially as being next to the water means as soon as you open the window the room is full of bugs. A shame they have compromised on this must-have given the typical summer heat. Breakfast was slightly odd too - we arrived at the opening time having pre-booked but the sole member of staff seemed slightly surprised to see us. Bread & pastries weren’t ready and the restaurant was hardly set up as an inviting breakfast spot.

Because it was a short stay and accomodation were good the overall score is good. Missing facilities

I liked the accomodation. Clean, sufficient comfort. Size of the one bedroom appartment was fine. Bathroom was roomy and clean. Location was quiet near the rhone river. Lot's of bird wildlife to spot. Also some beavers relaxing.

Breakfast was very poor in choice, quality and quantity. Very little sport facilities. Velodrome was outdated. No football, basket or tennis playground. Only limited facilities for small children. Location is remote.

Good value accommodation in a peaceful setting

For the price we paid, the accommodation was excellent value. The setting is very peaceful and despite being surrounded by other units, it was very quiet.

Communication with Vacanceole was very poor - I struggled to get responses to emails and there was no clarity on what was included. Check in was from 1700 but the member of staff arrived late - I was very glad that we were first in the queue and there was no one there at all on departure.

breakfast with semi-finished products. no fresh produce. only coffee and crossaint was good. hotel situated in a nice neighborhood, but the staff cannot show it to the guests. We were here for the first time. we were given a tiny room with a tiny window overlooking the gate. In guest reviews I read that the hotel is very clean and the rooms have ugly stains on the shelves with some dirty bags ...

After changing to a bigger room with a window, the staff forgot to leave us our key, so we waited outside. at midnight The gentleman arrived after 15 minutes, he apologized. The next morning in the restaurant, the service was surprised by our arrival. They didn't know we had breakfast booked even though it was another day of our stay (3 night booking with breakfast). We left one night before the end of the booking. we found another nice hotel with well organized service. Perhaps such conditions will please some. I do not require much, but cleanliness, space, a view from the window and correct operation are essential.

Exceptional

Extremely clean, everything is brand new and the area is absolutely tranquil. A supermarket, patisserie and pharmacy only 5 minutes drive away so absolutely brill! The apartment was equipped with absolutely everything, all cutlery was given, all white goods etc. The only two items which would be nice to have are an oven and a hair dryer, although there is a reason of why those items haven’t been provided, I suppose.

Didn’t like the shower screen, or the absence of an additional shower curtain to be more specific. Internet connection is total waste of time. If you don’t speak or understand French the TV is almost useless - would be nice to have it connected to internet to be able to use YouTube in your own language.
