Detached holiday home in Zambujeira do Mar by the sea 300 meters from the beach

Zambujeira do Mar is a small, originally fishing village, located in the southwestern part of the Alentejo. The village is within easy reach of 1.5 hours by car from Faro airport and 2.5 hours by car from Lisbon. The village is built on top of the rocks on the Atlantic Ocean and has one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. Here no mass tourism, as in the Algarve; Zambujeira do Mar is especially popular with the Portuguese themselves. You will not find large hotels and noisy bars here, but there are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants to relax and enjoy the sunset during dinner. The village lies in the middle of the National Park Southwest, because of this strict building rules apply and the village has retained its original character and charm.

Our holiday home, which we offer for rent, was completed in 2007. The house is at the beginning of the village and the distance to Zambujeira's main beach is about 300 meters. The house has a large living room with fireplace and an open kitchen with all appliances. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, the largest bedroom has a large terrace. A staircase leads to the attic floor, where there is another bedroom. The house has two bathrooms, one with a bath. There is also an outdoor terrace downstairs where there is a BBQ and a nice view over a valley and the surrounding hills. The house is also suitable for babies and small children; two cots, high chair and changing table are available. The house is tastefully furnished, has excellent beds and has satellite TV with all Dutch channels, DVD and an audio system. In the surroundings of Zambujeira do Mar you will find many small beaches where you hardly meet anyone in the high season. The house is ideal for day trips in the area to discover the old towns and villages and the beautiful coast and beaches of the Alentejo.
Upon arrival a deposit must be paid to the caretaker of 250 euros. This deposit will be refunded to your bank account within one week of departure if the final inspection is in order.
