Although the place is not close to the downtown area it is extremely clean and quiet and exceeded my expectations.

We loved our stay at Placid Village. The host was very helpful and friendly. They delivered a huge breakfast of a fruit tray, pancakes, a variety of breads, milk, juice, coffee. There were several nice restaurants nearby 5 minutes driving. There are several beaches and the seven hanging valley trailhead within 5minutes driving. The area is very quiet and dark at night.
The only problem I had was that gps sent me to a somewhat isolated residential area using the address listed. I reentered gps using the name “placid village” and I found it easily.

The hotel is super nice, on top of the hill an the appartements are very big. Very well situated, only 10-15 minutes walking distance from downtown .
