About this house rental
Podere il Chiassale is an old farmhouse dating from 1850 and was last renovated in 2024. The holiday home is situated at the foot of Voterra and combines Tuscan architectural style with modern amenities.
The open-plan professional kitchen offers everything even the most discerning chefs could wish for. The house is equipped with internet access, air conditioning and three satellite TV sets. The open-plan living and dining area features a fireplace, which creates a cosy atmosphere in inclement weather. For pizza lovers, there is a special wood-fired oven.
The house has a portico measuring approx. 40 square metres, offering plenty of shaded space for hot days. A large table invites you to dine, as does the spacious open terrace measuring approx. 100 square metres.
The 12x6-metre swimming pool is situated on a higher level and is equipped with a cosy seating area and pool loungers. The pool is heated during the colder months, meaning it can now be used even in May or October/November!
From the fully fenced-in grounds, you have a magnificent view of the surrounding hills and Volterra.
The rustico is situated in the heart of Tuscany; San Gimignano is about 20 minutes away, whilst Florence, Pisa, Siena and the coast are approximately an hour’s drive away. We organise cookery courses, horse riding tours, walks and a private chef service on request!
If required, a flat-rate heating charge of €20 per day will be applied. The pool is heated from 1 May to 15 October; on request, it can also be heated from early April until early November. In this case, a surcharge of €20 per day will be applied. The cost of air conditioning is €0.80 per kilowatt-hour, and €0.60 for the wall box used to charge electric cars.

This beautiful villa is the perfect place for a Tuscan home base as you explore all that Tuscany has to offer. Juergen and Gabriele were very communicative and their assistant Benyiman so responsive when we needed to reach out. The home was clean and perfectly located to explore Volterra, San G, Sienna, and Florence. We were so blessed to have a comfortable place to stay after busy days of exploring. The only thing I'd recommend would be a house guide book that would help guests navigate the appliances and all that the house has to offer.

Our stay was amazing! Loved everything about it and Gabriele and Juergen were excellent hosts. Beautiful property, would definitely recommend and stay there again.

We loved our villa! The rooms were comfortable- clean and great beds, linens. The kitchen was fully stocked and easy to use. The pool was cold, but the grandkids loved it, swimming 2x/day! The location was great. We could get to other hilltop towns and Volterra was closely. Gabriele is AMAZING! She is cheerful, helpful, and replies quickly to concerns. Plus, a kitty visited us daily.

Beautiful, comfortable, clean and well stocked home with an amazing huge pool. Plenty of outdoor seating and dining options. The owners live next door and were gracious and helpful hosts. Air conditioning is in the 3 upstairs bedrooms and the main living room area downstairs. Bocce set and a grassy area to play. We even had one of their cats ‘adopt’ us during our stay which we welcomed. There are good dining options within 5-10 mins of the house and the incredible town of Volterra is about a 20 minute drive.
