Nice flat great location

They need to check tv 😞 before you check in took two days to get tv was a problem with washing machine should check before check in

As everyone else says, the view is incredible. I could have sat on balcony all day. It’s a perfect size for 1 or 2 and the tea coffee and port was very welcome touch. It’s very old fashioned and a bit shabby but everything works (the shower was actually great even though it didn’t look as if it would be) and it has has everything you need - iron hairdryer etc. great location in a lovely neighbourhood with bars and cafes, and easy to walk everywhere.

The bed was low and not very comfortable, the pump toilet had a smell at times and the bedroom opening into the stairs was an issue in terms of noise - I was woken up whenever the other 3 flats came and went, with noise and light coming on.

In this apartment only the view from the balcony is wonderful and the location in the old town of Porto is charming. Access to the apartment is well-organized by an access code. Beware there is no elevator and steep climb to reach the flat in the third floor.

However, during our stay the flat had a terrible rotten smell and it turned out that most of the kitchen interior and living room decoration was covered heavily in mold. The kitchen floor and carpet were constantly wet as if water was leaking out somewhere. We completely avoided using the kitchen. And we had difficulties breathing and sleeping with the rotten smell in the flat and since the bedroom has no real window (window to the inside staircase of the house!!) and no airflow, it was overall an extremely uncomfortable stay. We informed the owner of our discontent of having to stay in a molded apartment and we were told that there had been a flood from the roof a week prior to our stay. However, we were not informed about the flood beforehand and we did not receive any compensation afterwards. Nonetheless, the degree of mold is probably not the result of one week. And in any case, it is not acceptable that such an unhygienic situation is unnoticed by the host.
