Stayed 5 nights in June. Property is close to all points of interest. Fully equipped and spotlessly clean. Our hostess could not have been more helpful even meeting us at the railway station on arrival and dropping us off on departure.

We spent almost a week at La Maison des Cochers and could not have been happier with our choice. Not only is the first-floor apartment convenient to reach - no schlepping of luggage up and down stairs -, it is also situated on a mostly pedestrian street with easy access to the castle, shops and restaurants. The apartment itself is a mixture of antique furniture and modern appliances, integrated with whimsical pictures. The decor points to an artistic owner, and that owner, Pascale, proved to be an excellent hostess. Not only did she pick us up at the station on learning that we would arrive by train, she welcomed us with a bottle of regional wine and was always reachable in case we needed something. Thank you so much, Pascale. P.S. For aficionados of French baguette for breakfast, there is a bakery a few steps across the street.

This is a wonderful apartment in the centre of Amboise but also at the quiet end of town. The flat had everything we needed and is very well equipped, perfect for two. Pascale is a thoughtful and responsive host and the recent addition of the parking space was an added bonus. We were sad to leave this little gem.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pascale's lovely apartment. The description online was exactly what we found upon entering. Pascale was so helpful in finding us parking and providing a fan since the weather had turned very warm. The location is perfect. It's on the quiet end of Rue Nationale, the pedestrian street loaded with shops and restaurants and the Sunday market was just a block away. We cooked several meals at the apartment and loved having the ability to do some launcry. We would welcome another opportunity to stay there.

Excellently appointed. Very convenient kitchen with a very useful collection of kitchen utensils and appliances. This made preparing meals from products bought at the local market a real pleasure. It was nice to have a coffee maker instead of a machine with pods ( which never makes coffee to one's taste!). Counter space in the bathroom was ample which is great for extended stays. We would be happy to stay here again.

A beautiful apartment, right in the heart of Amboise. There's a fabulous bakery across the road; restaurants on your doorstep and you are surrounded by history and amazing views. We cannot recommend this property highly enough. It is perfectly located on the main pedestrian street in the heart of Amboise and has everything one could need in addition to being esquistely designed and squeaky clean. Bed was very comfortable. The property owner Pascale is an absolute sweetheart!! She even picked us up at the train station and left us a bottle of Vouvray in the fridge. We felt so warmly welcomed and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you, Pascale!!

Amboise is a lovely little city in the middle of the Loire valley. It was a pleasure dealing with Pascale; through the entire “process” she was always available and communications were fast and efficient. The appartement is located on the city’s main pedestrian street. Free parking always available nearby. The appartement is well equipped for a great stay. It was a 10 out of 10 !! Would highly recommend dealing with Pascale and staying at this property ! Merci Pascale pour avoir fait notre séjour à Amboise merveilleux!

10 out of 10! Pascale met us at the apartment and was a great host! The apartment is located on the quieter end of Rue Nationale and a very short walk to the centre and cute shops. It has everything we needed and was very comfortable. Parking is not available on the street but free parking is very close by. This is a wonderful little city and highly recommend a stay at this property! Pascale recommended a wine tour at the vigneron Alain Robert and it was a wonderful experience. You must do this if you come. Lovely.

This apt is perfect for our short stay in Amboise. The apt looks like just got remodeled, is in perfect location with 5 min walk to the main square and plenty of restaurants and pastries nearby. And lastly, Pascale, the owner, was so responsive and so accommodating. She picked us up and dropped us off at the Gare. We couldn’t ask for a better “home” for our stay in Amboise.

We loved our stay in Amboise and would stay here again. Pascale is extremely helpful and responsive. She picked us up at the train station, told us about the neighborhood, and showed us how to use the washer and the induction cook top. When the washer didn't work, she replaced it the next day. Lots of wonderful sites, restaurants and shops are in easy walking distance.

If you plan to stay in this area and this property is available book it! All of the reviews give it 5 stars and it deserves it. It is very unique and tastefully decorated. It is immaculate, recently renovated and everything (dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine etc.) works. The location is a fabulous, mostly pedestrian street that the the king and his entourage used to ride down (according to Rick Steves) back in the 15th century. It is perfect to explore local churches, chateaux, wineries. Cycling in this area is also amazing with 800 kms of paved pathways called La Loire a Velo - great for road bikes or family outings. The property owner, Pascale, is very charming and helpful, offering a book of personal recommendations in Amboise. Her English is perfect but she is willing to humour those of us wanting to practice our high school French. Definitely recommend!

The apartment is on the ground floor of a pedestrian street. The apartment was well equipped for our needs- we didn't cook though. It was very convenient for touring Amboise as well as venturing to the other chateaus in the area. We didn't have much interaction with the owner as it wasn't necessary. We would stay here again though might be interested in the apartment on the upper floor.

We loved this delightful bijou apartment. Well situated for the town. We found plenty of free parking a short walk away. Also well situated for visiting several chateaux in the surrounding area. We were treated to an international brass band festival/ competition,which apparently takes place every year and we were able to sit at the bar and enjoy part of it. No need to go off anywhere that day! Our stay in the apartment and in Amboise rose to all of our expectations and we would thank Pascale for her friendly welcome and advice and her creative and thoughtful attention to detail in the apartment.

We loved our stay in Amboise. La Maison des Cochers was fantastic - clean, comfortable bed, well heated and well equipped. We loved the quirky decoration as did our young grandchildren who were staying nearby. Pascale, the owner, was charming and helpful. The location in Amboise was good as we had a boulangerie and coffee shop over the road and could easily walk to the castle and the river. The apartment is well soundproofed as we did not hear a sound from the guests in the apartment above ours. I would definitely stay here again.

This apartment will go down as one of our personal top 10. That says a lot since we have stayed at over 100 vacation rentals. It is well laid out and has everything you need. Pascale has excellent English. It is my understanding that Pascale is the artist responsible for the whimsical art scattered over the apartment. Parking is only a short walk away. This is a great base for exploring the chateaux in the Loire Valley.

The Coachman's House is a really nice apartment with a large bedroom and bathroom. The interior is a very contemporary design and tastefully decorated, with a light and airy feel to it, partly because of the large skylight in the bathroom. The appliances look to be fairly new, with a 4-burner induction stove, a large refrigerator, and a combination washer/dryer. There is also a drying rack, which we appreciated, because we've found the clothes need a lot less ironing if dried on the rack instead of in the dryer. The apartment is very well located, right on the main shopping street of Amboise. Just across the street is good boulangerie, where we got fresh croissants and fresh bread every morning. Next door to the boulangerie is a small, one-man coffee shop. You can make your own coffee in the apartment, but it was a treat just to stop in for some conversation and watch the young man make the coffee. Every cup is made from scratch by first grinding the beans, then weighing out the ground coffee, and putting it in the espresso machine. I would bring cups over from the apartment for him to fill and then take them back to the apartment to have with the croissants. There are many other shops with good takeout type food along the street, and many restaurants close by. There is also a supermarket about a 5-minute walk away. Pascale is very friendly and helpful, and her good familiarity with English both in conversation and in Email correspondence made things easier, as my French isn't the best. There is a free public parking lot next to the river, which is just one long block down the hill from the apartment. We never had any trouble finding a parking place there, but beware of Sunday mornings, because the big Sunday market is right next to the parking lot, and the whole area around that is a traffic gridlock on Sunday morning. If your car is already parked there you're fine, but don't plan on finding a parking place while the market is going on. Amboise makes a good home base for exploring some of the many Chateaus and various wine areas. Don't miss the Chateau Clos Luce in Amboise, where Leonardo da Vinci spent the last years of his life. It's a good little hike up the hill to the Chateau, but well worth it. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our week in Amboise, and I don't think we could have done any better than the Coachman's House. I highly recommend it.

I absolutely love this place. More than that, I feel like I have a friend in Pascale, who could not have been more helpful and sweet. She tolerated my poor French and gave us great recommendations where to go for the best food in town. L'Horloge for baguettes. The patisserie across the street for croissants. The apartment is all we needed including washer dryer. Get instructions on the oven and cook top if you are cooking. Pascale speaks great English so is very helpful, even when we had arrived late, too stressed to attempt speaking French. Spotless, cuter than anything, this apartment is smartly laid out and decorated. I could live here for a very extended time. Not too often I want to stay longer or come back to the same place. I will send any friend here to the Coachman's House. No reservations about Pascale's Coachman House.

Our experience at The Coachman's House could not have been better. Communication with Pascale was excellent from start to finish. All of her recommendations were great, and she was available to answer questions whenever we needed her. The apartment was exactly as pictured, clean and comfortable. Very well located on a pedestrian street, with everything you could want available within easy walking distance. The very nice ladies at the Italian shop a couple of doors away made sure we had nice strong cappuccino to go with the pastries we got across the street as a good start to our mornings. We really enjoyed our visit to Le Chateau du Clos Luce. Amboise is a nice quiet base for exploring the Loire Valley. If we return to the region, we hope to stay here again.

We arrived early afternoon after an overseas flight and were greeted by Pascale who showed us the apartment and all of it's features. She also took some time to go over some tips on local tourist sites and places to eat. The apartment was everything we expected. It was quite modern, efficient and very clean. One of the places Pascale told us about was the bakery across the street. The croissants and other breakfast items were very good and I went there first thing every morning to pick up our breakfast. Amboise is a nice town central to the area and served as a good base for our touring around. There are lots of good restaurants in town including one right next door. It was great staying on Rue Nationale as it is a pedestrian only street during the day and low volume traffic at night, great for walking from the market to the various shops and restaurants. This was a great choice for our vacation and would definitely recommend it.

excellent location in a pedestrian zoned street, lots of life around. Parking minutes away and free unlimited parking 5 min by foot. Apartment is ground floor, recently completely renovated, everything worked just fine. The bed was superb ! Food markets ( Carrefour) within 5 min walk. You do not need a car in Amboise. Pascale was very sweet and went out of her way to meet us. Do not program the GPS for Rue National since it is pedestrian only.
