About this apartment rental

This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom condo sleeps 8 with a king bed, twin bed, twin bunk bed with twin trundle, and queen sleeper sofa. It features a private balcony with mountain views. Updated kitchen, bathrooms, and furniture. Ideally located in River Run Village so you’re just steps away from shopping, restaurants, and local festivities. Plus, guests can walk to the high-speed gondola. The Springs offers shared amenities including a pool with a slide, a wading pool, an indoor play area, a Tesla EV charger, and two hot tubs.

The entryway has mounted hooks and a bench for your convenience while coming and going throughout the day. The living area has a flat screen TV above a gas fireplace and a queen-sized sleeper sofa. Extra sheets and blankets are in a closet. Just off the living area is access to the private balcony that faces north and offers mountain views.

The full-sized kitchen is stocked with all the essential cookware and tableware to make a meal away from home and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The dining table comfortably seats six. The first of two full bathrooms is just off the living area and has double sinks and a shower/tub combination. All bathrooms are stocked with towels and an initial supply of toiletries.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed on our Ivory White Bedding program, a flat screen TV and beautiful views. The en suite bathroom has double sinks, a shower/tub combination and a door separates the toilet area for added privacy. The guest bedroom features a twin bed and a twin bunk bed with trundle on our Ivory White Bedding program, a mounted flat screen TV and its own entrance to the guest bathroom.

Condo unit and communication were great -- clean, easy check in/out. I have stayed in the Springs complex every year for the last three years because my kids love the pool and hot tub area so much. Unfortunately, when they went swimming on the first evening we arrived, we noticed that the pool had a foul odor and that there were inches of algae growing on the walls of the pool. We reported this to the management, and they shut the pool down for the rest of our stay. This is also not the first issue we have had with the pool/hot tub not being maintained at the Springs. Two years ago after we stayed in a different unit in the complex both of my children ended up developing a skin infection due to the chemicals not being appropriately maintained. The condo complex is in an awesome location, and our unit was great, but the Springs needs to start maintaining their pool/hot tub so that it does not represent a health risk to their guests.

Great condo if you are traveling with kids. Beds are all comfy and second bedroom can sleep 4 each with their own twin bed. Once the construction is finished for the new condos, the walk to the gondola will be shorter making it even better. We would definitely stay again.

Nice outdoor heated pool with slide, as well as 2 jacuzzis. App operated laundry available on 3 different floors was super convenient and easy to use. Elevators are rather slow, but we like the stairs anyways. Covered garage parking is a huge plus in winter months. The swivel chair in living room is broken, and master bedroom toilet did not seem to flush well at all. Quality of toilet paper and paper towels was poor, but that is to be expected in most rentals. Kitchen pots and pans could stand to be replaced as well. Suggest adding an air fryer for guests to use. And a fridge with build in ice maker would be fantastic. Did not experience loud neighbors or noise in hallways.

There is so much noise and construction going on that it was a huge inconvenience. There is some kind of water pipe that bangs while someone showers, you gotta keep a fan on bc with it silent you can’t get sleep. Walking around the huge construction project next door was not fun & they started scraping concrete with a bulldozer at 6am. At first I thought the condo was perfect. It was nice and clean. No complaints other than construction which can’t be helped. I guess that’s why it was a good deal wise.

The Springs was an excellent location for our family. Well maintained and a couple hundred yards from the gondola, easy enough to walk with my two 8 year olds. Easy check in, heated parking and convenient ski lockers. We really enjoyed the kids play room for my 4 & 1 year olds. Super close to town, too; also an easy walk with the young kids. Will stay again!

If it’s a no, just tell me it’s a no so I can make alternate arrangements.

My one kid opted to sleep on the couch rather than the pullout trundle bed, which was good so we didn't have to mess with pulling it in and out each day so there was a walkway in the small room. Wasn't any room to put away your own food in the cabinets, but there's a lot of glassware to choose from. There is a Keurig coffee machine but no K-cups, so bring your own if you want coffee. Was glad there was a Britta Pitcher for the water as there was an odd flavor to it straight out of the tap. Dishware was heavy and stacked on shelves that were nearly out of reach. I had to drag a chair into the kitchen area just to reach them. Yes I'm short 5'0" so maybe you won't have issues. Bathrooms are great, very large with two sinks was great for all of us. Nice cozy little space. Good home base for exploring the area. We enjoyed our time in Colorado.

Reviewer Comments: The stay started with approval for an early check in and charged the codes didn’t work and the parking garage looks like it is in a construction site. The room never cooled down below 77 degree even with all doors and windows opened. The room was beautiful! We got a text message later in the day saying the next day work was being started in parking garage to follow signs where to park. It was check out day so, there were no signs and we were not told a time so when we went to load up in the car we walked into the garage with chemicals covering the floor, workers in masks, my car left in the middle of the chemicals and my whole family with the chemicals. We had to load the car as fast as possible and leave the garage.

This is a great condo for a family. It is clean, beds are very comfortable, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops within a short walk. It is well-stocked with plenty of paper towels, dish soap/detergent, tissues, TP and all cooking supplies. Laundry is on a separate floor but was very easy to use (there’s an app - no quarters needed!). The ski lockers and parking are very convenient. The living room was a little cozy for our family of 5, and the walk to the gondola felt long some days, but the listing is clear about that. Overall, a great stay!

Reviewer Comments: Got off to a bad start with not being able to get into our unit until close to 6:00pm and there was still someone in the unit at that time. Once in the unit, some TV’s weren’t working along with toaster, kettle, toilet seat was severely loose, etc. However, whoever I was texting was very responsive and handled everything very well. There is a new building going up and unlike the last 2 times I stayed here, you can’t walk out the pool area right to the gondola or village, you have to take a considerably longer path around the new building being constructed. If you eliminate the late check in and and the new construction overall it wasn’t too bad. I think with this construction making the walk longer to the gondola the cost (roughly $1,000/night after taxes, fees, etc) needs to be lowered as I had friends paying same in a nicer place w ski in ski out. The attentiveness was excellent, the room was good as was the common areas and amenities but I would look elsewhere next time for location/value.

This condo was perfect for 3 adults, but had accommodations for additional guests. It was very clean, quiet, close to the gondola, the kitchen was well stocked to cook meals and the unit included 3 humidifiers to help with the dry air. We had a short walk around the construction to reach the gondola but it wasn’t a problem at all. The ski lockers were clean and conveniently located. Upon arrival we weren’t able to connect to the internet so I texted management and they were able to resolve the issue while we were out skiing. We would definitely recommend this condo!

Only one parking space was a real inconvenience, the mornings began with backup alarms on vehicles ringing at 6:30 am. The construction made for a longer walk to the lift and killed the view to the slope.I would recommend staying here, but maybe after construction of the new condo is completed if those things bother you. The room and check in process was great. However the reason we booked this property was because of the pool. We were celebrating my daughters bday and the pool area was closed the day we stayed. There was no communication to us that the pool would be closed. That was very disappointing. I would’ve selected a different property.

Overall, our experience at River Run was very good. I have to say the staff is very communicative and accommodating. Of course there are many unknown variables that can pop up at any given time. Before our arrival, a staff member contacted me and advised the original place of our stay had the hot water heater & heater had gone out and were willing to book a comparable location. There was one point of contention, the original property we were assigned to had a higher rate than the new property we were re-assigned to. I asked kindly if they may be able to offer a credit but they respectfully declined. I was a little disappointed in that decision due to the significant price difference and also the week long stay we booked. As for when we arrived at the property, it was clean and no initial issues were discovered. The kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms had clean towels, tissues and so forth, overall well equipped. This location is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants within the plaza, and this property offered covered garage parking below the structure. In the end it all worked out. We encountered no further issues during our stay and enjoyed ourselves fully!

We would definitely come back! The springs has great amenities. My kids loved the heated outdoor pool with slide and hot tubs. The heated garage was also very helpful. I will use summit county mountain retreats directly the next time we come to Colorado. They were able to accommodate an early check in, which was wonderful after a long travel day with kids. They even found and mailed back my daughter’s forgotten iPad! We can’t wait to come back - thank you so much for a trip if a lifetime.

We were disappointed this year to see the construction project at River Run makes it so the Springs is no longer the closest building to the gondola, and the bridge to River Run restaurants/shops is blocked off. It was no longer as convenient as it has been in the past. This was all a surprise to us. We found the unit to be well stocked. The bed arrangements in the second bedroom works well for families, and the fresh linens from SCMR are great. We had two complaints within the building - one of the elevators wasn't operational during our entire stay. This caused a lot of delays working your way down from the fourth floor. Also, the water pressure in the unit is AWFUL. The showers are more of a trickle. We did try to communicate with the property manager about both the water pressure and our frustration about the construction surprise, the the responses put it back on us. Not any help on either issue.

This one was not that case! The unit hit high marks on many levels both comfort and functional. The kitchen is well stocked. This was good as we brought Thanksgiving dinner with us The beds and linens are comfy and the unit is set up with the end user in mind (meaning ample shelves and hooks for your stuff!). Items for consideration-I do wish the living room furniture was firmer. The hot tub needs cleaning, more frequent during these busy days! There are the typical little things you could get hung up on/call out in the unit and on the property, but that’s typically everywhere.The process with Summit County Vacation Rental company was good, all codes access worked as intended. Be informed that we used all electronic communication, email and txt. I am sure live voices are available if needed. We had no need to communicate via voice. Again, this was one of our better properties and experiences!

The condo itself was really nice and clean. Great layout and decor. Too bad HOA and management made our stay less than ideal as the condo was great! We were quite annoyed and unhappy for our whole trip when we woke up the morning after check in to NO working elevators and NO signage as to what to expect!! After several calls to management company, they FINALLY got some info that it was something to do with for inspection and that they would be down Wednesday-Friday. Well Friday came around they never got turned on. My husband has bad knees and we were on the 4th floor. What if someone in a wheelchair was staying in the building??? This basically ruined most of the enjoyment of leaving the condo at all and who comes to Keystone and Dillon to sit on a room? Use some common sense HOA. if you allow people to rent and stay in the off season, figure out how to accommodate better! Do ONE elevator at a time maybe?? You gotta use some forethought! There's also construction of new properties going on right outside the pool and as you are entering the parking garage. That we understand...that's just an unfortunate timing and minor inconvenience. Great amenities with the pool, hot tubs, steam shower, exercise room, small theater room, play area. The amenities definitely needed some attention and hopefully management will make sure this happens. I contacted them several times to tell them what needs attention. The slide is so slow, almost not any fun for kids. The play room was unbearably hot! Fix the thermostat in there! Fix the shampoo/body wash dispensers in the common shower. Fix the non working recliners in the theater room...only half of them worked. Actually set up instructions and/or fix the sound in the theater room. My husband can always figures this audio stuff and he couldn't in this theater. Who wants to watch a movie in a theater with no sound?? In the fall, it's beautiful, but once the leaves start falling, the pool and hot tubs were overrun with leaves, etc. The renters shouldn't have to be the only ones fishing out the debris. We saw some cleaning people but never once did they attend to the pool/hot tubs. There is no air conditioning in the condo and it would get hot at night so we finally slept with windows open all night. It's a nice property overall that definitely needs attention.

The pool and hot tubs were clean and comfortable even on a cool fall day. It was nice that the condo association provided towels for the pool. The condo was roomy and had all the amenities we needed for our long weekend stay during leaf-peeping season. Just a heads up that there is quite a bit of construction going on around the building (Fall of 2022) so there's a bit of mud to walk through and a detour if walking to Keystone.We would definitely stay here again.
