Lyon House Hotel

Close to the tube station, so our walk with cases was short. Was easy to find along the main road.

A few things we didn’t didn’t get chance to talk to anyone about was - Shower head really needed looking at… very leaky and was very loose. The floor door bar between the bathroom and the bedroom was raise and splintered plastic so could actually be a nasty injury waiting to happen. There was no AC…but we were offered a fan which was nice considering the heatwave.

Our overall experience at Lyon Hotel was positive. The customer service was exceptional, and the hotel itself, along with its surroundings, was welcoming and well maintained. However, we were disappointed with the condition of our room. Given the high rate of £189, we expected a higher standard, including fresh towels and a fully functioning television. Unfortunately, these expectations were not met. While we appreciated the hospitality and enjoyed our stay overall, the room fell below the standard we would reasonably expect for the price paid.

The room did not meet our expectations

A basic room that was clean with comfortable beds. Check in and out was easy. Staff were really pleasant, came back to the hotel at late hours and they were always able to let us in.

No air conditioning and small window so can get hot in the room though a basic pedestal fan was provided.

The beds Were Super comfortable and clean as was the ensuite shower and Toilet. Loads of sockets for charging devices. The room was very warm and cosy.

Couldn't find my booking at first and it was a bit concerning when checking in at 9 pm after a very long drive. Finally found it though so panic subsided. No Mirrors in the room, so for a room that sleeps 5 it would need more if multiple friends staying. Decor was VERY basic. No Tea and coffee facilities. Biggest issue was no-means of contacting reception for checkout as it was not manned and no obvious method of key drop or car park exit we nearly missed our 10 am appointment. Overall, it was ok for us to get our heads down as it was close to our appointment location.
