About this cottage rental
From the operators of Goose Cove Cottage (181138), a recently acquired property with many of the same features and amenities. This is a colonial style , 2 story house with 1,648 sq. ft. of living area. There are 3 bedrooms (all second floor) and 2.5 bathrooms (2 full baths second floor, half bath main floor). The master bedroom has a king bed and full bath. Of the two remaining bedrooms, one has a king bed and the other a queen bed. Upon request, provisions can be made for 2 additional occupants on the main floor. The cottage is set back from Oak Point Road (Rte. 230) about 100 plus feet and offers a lovely, level yard area (great for children).
Amenities include TVs and DVD players in all bedrooms and living room. The following are provided: cable, wireless Internet, unlimited local and long distance calling within the US and Canada, and more. Kitchen is fully equipped and all linens are provided. Please inquire about additional features or about specific needs. This property is located just 2 miles from Goose Cove Cottage and is of comparable quality, size, and value. All destinations and major attractions on Mt. Desert Island average between 15 and 20 minutes driving time. Close to lobster pounds, the Visitors Center, the causeway onto the island, grocery stores and gas stations, etc. Schoodic Peninsula and Winter Harbor at about 45 minutes driving time from the cottage. This house was beyond amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how gorgeous the property was — both the home itself and the land surrounding it. Every detail felt carefully thought out. The bedrooms were beautiful, cozy, and so comfortable. The kitchen and dining areas were perfect for cooking together and sharing meals — spacious, modern, and incredibly well stocked.The location in Trenton made it easy to explore Acadia and Bar Harbor while still feeling peaceful and private when we came back in the evenings. Sitting outside and taking in the scenery was such a highlight — it’s the kind of place you never want to leave.We’ve stayed in plenty of rentals, but this one truly stands out. I can’t recommend it enough and would come back in a heartbeat!

The home was wonderfully maintained and was cozy to stay in. It had everything we needed and the host was very communicative, which was appreciated. We were visiting from out of state and felt the proximity to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and Ellsworth was quick and an easy drive. We truly enjoyed our stay and would book here again if we’re in the area.

The Oak Point Cottage was wonderful. It was super well equipped, very clean, and accommodated 5 adults easily. We chose it first of all because it was close to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. The cottage was as cute as the photos and well kept up. The host was VERY helpful and available to answer a number of questions we had before arriving. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
