Most incredible stay!

Santhiya was beautiful. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and always clean. The food and drinks were great. The beach and pool were lovely. We had a massage at the hotel which was incredible, and the spa staff were so friendly. Everything was perfect! We are already booking for next year!

Design

At 3 AM on our first night, we woke up to water pouring from the ceiling onto our faces and belongings. Our medicine, clothes, electronics, and bed were all soaking wet. The only room offered was for just a few hours during that same night, plus a compensation of 2,000 THB (54€) when our original room cost over 12,000 THB (321€) per night. After more than 3 hours of intermittent discussions with reception and escalating the issue, we finally spoke with the General Manager Anke at noon, who offered 10,000 THB (270€) and laundry, but no room change, only a promise of "no more pouring" during our stay. Since they didn't offer another room, we had to endure loud construction noise throughout the day. The next night didn't rain, but my husband got food poisoning (we never left the resort and ate only at the hotel) and ended up hospitalized, costing us over 400€ in medical expenses. Two nights later it rained again—and the water pouring was even worse. My 6-year-old niece was terrified, crying as water poured onto her bed in the middle of the night. They eventually moved us into two separate rooms, defeating the entire purpose of booking a two-bedroom villa to spend time together as a family. With all these experiences, next morning we expected the hotel to be truly sorry for failing their promise, for the food poisoning, and to offer decent compensation. Instead, the General Manager Ake kept us waiting over 2 hours, then appeared for just 10 minutes—rude, defensive, and completely closed off to any discussion. His only offer was to point out that the two separate rooms he argued "was already a compensation" because their combined cost supposedly exceeded our original 2-bedroom suite — as if that justified a collapsing roof and two floods. No actual compensation, no apology—nothing at all. It felt like a slap in the face after everything we went through. We were there for 5 nights total, and they turned our holiday into a nightmare.

Amazing stay 100% recommend

The most amazing staff! Everyone was so kind and helpful we loved everyone. Amazing pool and beach wow! Buffet breakfast was delicious. Loved having dinner on the beach and watching the sunset. The fire show on the Saturday night is really cool! Massage at the dayspa was great too! Very responsive whattsapp chat line, anytime I needed something they would be right onto it :) came here with my husband, 5 year old and 8 month old and we had a blast! We'd been travelling Europe prior to this and this was our favourite part of the whole trip

A small cardboard box that we used to hold our baby monitor and a cardboard card which had pictures of baby clothes and a temperature indicator got thrown out by housekeeping they must've thought it was rubbish.

Lovely relaxing stay

Loved the rooms. Well setup and very comfortable with a kettle and fridge. Lounge inside and a large very comfortable bed. The bathroom was great and plenty of strong hot water. The real bonus for us was the private pool that we used all the time. Fantastic rooms. The hotel was great and staff very responsive to our every need. We enjoyed the free yoga classes each day. The resort pool and outlook were great. Buffet breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We had dinner in the restaurant each night and enjoyed the food but thought that part was holding the hotel back a little. Food was good but not up to the great standard set by the rest of the hotel or what we are used to as we live in Hong Kong.

Nothing at all. Only area for improvement was the food. Food was great but we are spoiled living in Hong Kong and on the doorstep of China. It didn’t rate highly to us but it was just good. The location is great for rest and relaxation but if you want extra activity easily accessible a taxi is needed. There is nothing nearby.

fabulous staff, and amazingly chilled break!

So.. the rooms are fabulous, so private and with your own little pool. there is a lot of space and the woodwork is beautiful. having access to a fridge and sink is also really nice. The only drawback is that the toilets aqre a little inefficient, and im going to leave it at that for that one. Breakfast has a huges selection of asian and western food, definitely try the fried rice with pork and the tofu with chilli! the food was generally fabulous with the tom kha gai, chicken satai, papaya salad and pork laabn out favourites. cocktails are reasonable and there is a huge selection. diningh on the beach ion the sea breeze is fabulous, and there a re a great selection of day beds and loungers for chilling around the beach and pool. Oh and a shout out to Kent, Pim and alll the other staff for making us feel so special and cared for

so... its not a big deal but you order food from an electronic menu on a tablet, but not all the time. some waiters take your orde4r and inmput it into the tablet, others give you the tablet. its a little confusing. For a 5 star they should just go back to paper menus, and the staff using the menus, as the elcetroni menu looks like mostly backend rather than customer facing.

Amazing getaway resort

Beautiful place right on the beach. Amazing sunsets and very peaceful atmosphere. Pool villa was incredible, so quiet all you could hear was birds. Main pools are very well kept and overlooking the ocean. Beautiful beach to walk along and the water is very clean and clear. This resort is perfect for someone who wants some relaxing time away from the city. If you're planning on only staying in a resort to unwind then this is the place for you. Main city is an hour away. Airport is 30 mins away.

Tourist low season so it wasn't busy yet food always took a very long time and was excessively expensive, even for a resort. Breakfast buffet was of low selection and days old. Cocktails had very little alcohol in them and beer selection could be better. Craft beer available in your room but not available in the bars/restaurant. F&B could use some improvement in my opinion. If they nailed that, this place would have it all!

visited during August , rained non stopped for most of the time! - not really a resort caused issue but ... no electricity every couple of days impacting water as well as no electric no water in the hotel either! fact that need to cross the road to go to breakfast/pool/beach is offputing especially for families with children (they have security guards to help cross with safety but an overhead bridge would be ideal). as everything is wood cladded a lot of it starts to rot even after 5 years since it was built! so alot of work during our stay from maintenance workers on site!

Amazing location and beautiful surroundings

Facilities were amazing. Pool villa was spacious, clean and lots of lovely festive. Such as lightning, excess of towels, beach mats, bags for pool, dressing gowns, beautiful bed linen. We all felt like king and queens. The pool was small in the villa but very warm and perfectly adequate. The gardens were amazing, including the fish. The extra activities such as yoga, seaside film night and the show by the sea were all surprising extras, which were lovely.

The food service for a five star hotel was a little sporadic. Most of the time it was fine, long as you didn't want to eat your meal together as it arrives at different times. The place was very isolated and going anywhere cost a lot in a taxi, around 2000batt to Phuket.

Be aware of Centipedes

The hotel is very nice. Everything is made of wood. The hotel is built thai traditional way, I booked a very nice 2 bedroom 2 bathroom privet swimming pool villa it also has a siting and a dining area. Trees are everywhere, which was very nice.

The hotel is located in a remote area with lots of farms around, and this makes the place full of insects, I was very lucky to discover and kill a black centipedes before it bites someone.

Stunning, peaceful and luxurious

Absolutely stunning! The resort is incredible. We loved the location as we were purposely looking to escape tourist Phuket. It’s very quiet in the area and the resort offers everything you might need.

The food was nice but not brilliant. We enjoyed our meals but I it was all just ok. Staff were fantastic though!

Wished I could move in permenantly.

The villa was AMAZING. I could live there. The private pool was big enough for my kids to really play and swim. The living space was giant which we appreciated after weeks of travel and cramped living quarters/ airplanes. Hands down the biggest, more comfortable beds. Everything was clean and the staff was so very nice and always looking to help. We ended up extending our stay and next time, we will plan a much longer stay. The restaurant had the perfect mix of food for my Thai husband and more Americanized children. And the beach was clean and very private. The pool was refreshing and the cabanas weren’t an extra charge and allowed my husband to work remotely by the pool. The fire show was an unbelievable. My kid held fire and made a core memory! And the spa was an extravagant experience at an affordable price.

A Peaceful Thai Paradise with Stunning Design and Perfect Beach

We absolutely loved this hotel! It’s incredibly beautiful, with stunning architecture and a lush, green territory that feels like a true escape. Everything is designed in traditional Thai style—wooden buildings with intricate carvings. It was a real aesthetic pleasure just to walk around and take it all in every day. The beach and the sea were also wonderful—clean, calm, and with very few people, which made it feel peaceful and exclusive. As for the service, I really appreciated that the staff weren’t overly attentive or intrusive, but every request we had was handled quickly and efficiently. It struck a perfect balance—quiet, respectful service with everything taken care of. One particularly convenient feature was that we didn’t need to carry money around the hotel. Everything could be charged to the room, and then we simply settled the bill at the end of our stay—super convenient. I had read some reviews where people complained about the restaurant or the lack of places nearby. In my opinion, the restaurant is perfectly fine. It’s not gourmet-level, but breakfast offers everything you might need, and the lunch and dinner options are decent. And while the restaurant might be a bit basic for longer stays, it’s definitely not true that there’s “nothing nearby.” Within a 10–20 minute taxi ride, there are plenty of small local places to eat, and we tried a few that were excellent. There’s even a Michelin-starred restaurant about 20 minutes away if you’re in the mood for a fancier evening out. Plus, some neighboring hotels are within walking distance and have decent restaurants too—so there’s definitely no issue diversifying your meals if you want to. All in all, I had the best experience. The sea was warm and calm during our stay, the beach was spotless, the grounds were immaculately maintained, and the overall atmosphere was just amazing. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

I was here for my 30th birthday and it was exceptional The place is absolutely stunning, and our villa was magnificent. The decor was gorgeous to the smallest details. Having a private pool and bathtub, really made the stay even more special ! The breakfast was delicious and with plenty of variety The massages were incredible, honestly one of the best we’ve ever had The staff were incredibly kind. They even decorated the room for the occasion, made a birthday cake, and filmed a video for us at the end of the dinner – such a thoughtful gesture! They truly went above and beyond for the romantic dinner on the beach 😍 We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back! Special thanks to Palm and all the staff 🙏🏻

Beautiful property, far more stunning than the website or pictures show. Truly magnificent. Staff were all wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Rooms were spacious and luxurious with fabulous aircon and comfortable mega king bed. The private plunge pool was also a delight and very well maintained and of a decent size. The hotel spa was also a peaceful and enjoyable experience with staff very accommodating to our requirements. Gardens are incredible and walking to our room was like stepping through a piece of paradise. Not to mention the two incredible resort pools and beautiful ocean with views and vibes that were truly breathtaking. We also were able to be shuttled back and forth to restaurants, convenience stores and beach clubs in the hotels lovely shuttle vehicle. Staff really made our stay that much more memorable, comfortable and pleasant. Also only about a 20 min ride from the airport which was welcome relief after a long day of travel to reach Phuket. We would highly recommend Santhiya Phuket and give it 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Stylish, rich old Thai style complex

There is a village of villas in a lush tropical garden. Even the cheapest room is classified as a suite - very spacious, with its own terrace with a private pool. Beautiful large pool and a very good beach. You can walk a kilometre on the beach without meeting anyone. In a secluded place and a short walk away, nothing is happening, so you need a car to get around or have to order a taxi. Good service. Good shampoos and body lotion. Stylish bathrobe and good slippers. Good breakfast by the pool with a magnificent view of the sea, but could be with more food options. The beach, pools and restaurant are on the other side of the road, but it is a very quiet road where cars rarely drive. The territory is quite large, but since all the accommodation is in villas, there are pleasantly few people. In the evening you fall asleep with the sounds of the night jungle and in the morning you wake up with birdsong. The restaurant has delicious food at above average prices (as usual in a hotel), the service is friendly, but unfortunately very chaotic. I am very glad that we found the opportunity to stay at this hotel again on this trip.

Minor cons: The lighting was poor near the bathroom mirror, I couldn't see well when shaving. The parking lot is about 500 meters away from the hotel. You can get there by golf cart, but organizing this all the time to take you there and back is not the most convenient. There are two air conditioners in the room next to each other and there is one remote control for them. At first I didn't understand that they have to be adjusted separately and this is done from the same remote control by pointing the remote control specifically at the air conditioner you want to adjust. At 12:00 we ran out of towels on the beach and were promised to bring more in three minutes, but they were only brought after two hours. Compared to last year, there were some changes, which are not major cons, but were signs of a higher level - last year there was a program with live music during breakfast and in the evening the room was prepared for bed.

A unique place!

The whole resort is really unique. Carved wood wherever you look at. A real extraordinary place to stay. In some reviews it's mentioned, that it's shabby, but it's definitely not. I work with wood and that's just the natural self protection of the wood, when it turns grayish. These people should stay in some sterile glass bunker somewhere else. For us it was the perfect place to relax and calm down for a few days and I would highly recommend it! The staff is amazing, also the breakfast, which includes local and international food with live cooking stations and a variety of coffee specialities. We had a private villa with a pool and it's a perfect place to relax and enjoy some time together. Also the beach and the pools are not crowded and you'll always find a nice and quiet spot to hang out. The Spa is also worth a visit. For sure more expensive than the local ones nearby, but the service is excellent.

They spray against Moskitos, but you'll always have some around in the garden. So, better bring some protection.

Celebrated our daughter’s first birthday here

Santhiya review We stayed in this resort in 2019 but at the Koh Yao Yai location and loved it. Now we were traveling with a baby so we wanted to come back but to a calmer and less busy location. The Natai location is just that. We stayed from Feb 20-27 to celebrate our daughter’s first birthday. Talking to the staff, we found out there were 87 guests staying at the resort. This means breakfast and dinner was never full and it was always easy to get a table. The pool also was almost empty. Only two or three other couples or families. The teakwood detail in this resort is stunning. It makes it a resort like no other. The staff is extremely friendly and really good with kids. Shout out to Farot who was our daughter’s favorite person at the resort!Everyone knew and greeted our daughter by name. I loved that detail. The room is exactly what we expected and more. The villas are extremely private. There is lush vegetation everywhere making it feel like you are alone. It’s wonderful. Every other night they have a time frame where they spray the resort for bugs. Trying to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I also had a massage at the AYURVANA spa and the hospitality was excellent. A welcome drink, a selection of oils to choose for your massage, a wonderful massage and a small dessert with tea to end it all. However, literally a two minute walk from the security entrance, there is a small building that does massages for half the price. Not the same spa experience, but oil or Thai massage regardless. My husband went there everyday and would send them a whatsapp to book. There are a lot of food options for dinner. You order with a tablet and we never had any problems with the device. Western and Thai food options. Breakfast is good. The Koh Yao Yai location had a lot more options for breakfast than this location. But still what is offered here is good. Thai food and Western, they make your eggs on the spot how you would like them.

However, the pool needs a bit of maintenance you can see some rusting in the tiling and the lounge boats some pieces of wood are chipped. The MOST ANNOYING thing is there is a sign to put “do not disturb” or “make up room” and even if we put the “do not disturb sign” they call. Which meant waking up the baby from her nap to ask if we want the room cleaned. It’s super annoying so I had to unplug the phone. On Saturday at 6:00 am you could hear, from our bed, club music. Playing full blast. Some beach party nearby.

Paradise on earth -

We loved the villa with pool and the facilities, the architecture is really grand. The pool and the beach is fantastic. We really enjoyed the spa! We will absolutely come back! Do not hesitate to book!

The quality of the breakfast really needs improvement. The service in the restaurant was friendly but at times extremely inefficient and inexperienced: the food came before they gave us drinks and cutlery, some dishes came after more than an hour after other dishes were served, desert came when the table was still full of dishes etc

Beautiful hotel, but management needs to step up more.

I've been here multiple times because the design of the entire hotel is so beautiful. Absolutely amazing architecture and comfy, lovely rooms. Along with the lovely design, the staff are very helpful and sweet. Always smiling and caring.

The problem arises with the food/dining situation. Considering the price of staying here, you would expect (hope) the food would match the price of the room, but it doesn't. The food is average at BEST and the breakfast is actually not good at all. When you combine that with the fact that you need to order with your phone on a system that is difficult to operate, it really makes an important aspect of the experience quite bothersome and unfortunate.

Perfect

The rooms were beautiful and huge! The beach area was quiet and very relaxed. Having read other reviews my expectations for the breakfast weren’t great but I was very pleasantly surprised. Above all, the staff were fantastic, especially the reception staff who were a huge help with a couple of requests I had. I was travelling alone for this part of my trip and felt very comfortable.

The staff! The room! The beach the whole thing was spectacular! We were checked in by Pa who looked after us for our entire stay recommending trips I wouldn’t of thought of and organised the whole thing fuss free! Breakfast was a highlight great food and massive selection, Kent and his team of breakfast staff were incredible, remembering not only names but drinks and dishes we like and also being awesome fun with our kids. We stayed in the 2 bed pool villa and the photos don’t do it justice it’s just beautiful and massive!
