I love the Hotel. Overall the stay was great

Room 105 specifically has a real issue with kitchen smells leaking through from kitchen opening hours till closing times. My room smelled heavily like a fish and chips shop. Will make a note to never book 105 again.

Lovely stay in Simon’s town

We loved staying at the Willets hotel. The room is beautiful, clean, spacious and very comfortable. We really enjoyed the balcony. Will gladly visit again!

Memorable

This hotel has the best position in town and we had the balcony room overlooking the Main Street. Think of a western film and being able to watch all that is going on, and there is a lot of life passes by. The adjoining restaurant was very good, we had breakfast and lunch. The room was spotless and the bathroom first class. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Look, this is hotel is downtown and there is noise, if this isn’t for you don’t come here, we thought it added to the ambiance.

Location

No aircon in rooms, the staff of the restaurant eat outside your room. Workers outside your room. (see photo - bit invasive). A type of divider would be great.

Breakfast was not included, but there were many other options close by. The room was comfortable and we enjoyed the atmosphere.

The TV was not easy to navigate, proper instructions will help.

Fairly pleasant

The position was great. Main road in Simon’s town. Very conveniently situated for restaurants etc. Food at the restaurant was good. Staff were warm and helpful.

Our room was soooo tiny and had no windows other than a skylight which we were told not to open. Felt very claustrophobic! There is no designated parking so in high season it’s a massive issue. Not sure about fire safety exits.

We liked the balcony room overlooking the interesting area of Simonstown. The staff were very helpful. Good large bed, fridge and smart tv. Parking on street. Restaurant in the building.

Centrally located, this quaint gem of a Hotel provided a perfect base to explore Simonstown.

great location, authentic decor and atmosphere, clean and bright with everything we needed.

On arrival there was no one at reception so we took our keys and found our room - this did not bother us at all but there was a laptop sitting at the desk so I wonder if someone else had just walked in, how safe things are? We went for a swim the next morning and left our keys with someone at reception, but when we got back the door was locked and we couldnt get in. Luckily the manager spotted us on the pavement shortly afterwards and let us in ;-)

It was exactly what we needed and perfect access and location.

Its location is the heart of harbour and area and just gorgeous to walk around all the quaint shops and restaurants etc. It’s very well priced and super convenient.

I couldn’t get the tv to work but think that was a remote problem and ambient light from hallway as I’m sensitive sleeper. But nothing really that affects the stay.

very hard to understand how you offer croissants on your menu and then you have none!!

carpets in the passages absolutely tacky - stained, a chunk out of the one at the top of the stairs - creates a poor impression

The breakfast…I would have preferred to have paid a bit more for an all inclusive breakfast ( juice, cereals, cooked) instead of having to pay extra for each slice of toast, an extra teabag (!) etc etc

The Willets is a haven for the soul

I absolutely loved my stay at the Willets!! I will be a return guest for sure. As a solo female traveller I feel completely safe and at home. The room was beautiful, staff were lovely, breakfast at Kingsley’s was wonderful. Bed was sooo comfy, wish I could have stayed longer in this sweet hotel. Loved the reading nook and Blessmore was an awesome host. Thank you for having me

It was clean, the room was very cosy and I had a comfortable stay.

Since the property is right by the road, cars were passing by all night and that made it a bit difficult to fall asleep.

The super-friendly staff. The staff's knowledge of the area, including things to do and where to eat. The little touches, like the darling toffees in the evening. The assistance with luggage. The breakfast was out of this world terrific.

The location is on the Main Street and convenient for attractions.

When we booked , we booked for breakfast. At breakfast we were asked if we wanted juice. When we had finished we were charged for the juice. The breakfast itself wasn’t very nice because it was over cooked and there wasn’t much of it , thank goodness.

Willets has potential........

Accommodation was Pet Friendly Private Room Entrance Reserved Parking on this occasion thanks to the Gentleman on duty.

Room lounge incredibly small Extremely noisy as walls and ceilings are paper thin so hear every sound even people bathing above you. Breakfast was extremely dissapointing as it is very limited and not filling.

Great location, clean and close to everything. The staff were friendly and helpful and would definitely recommend.

The breakfast options were good, but the avo toast option was much less than the others. Coming home in the evening (9:30pm) everything was quiet and streets deserted. It was a little scary for us traveling women alone with kids. I would recommend to at least have some security there till 11pm.

Nice boutique hotel close to all amenities.

The room was always neat and linen clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Car parked on street without any problems. Very nice breakfast although somewhat pricey for a pensioner. Perhaps management can consider a reduced rate for pensioners. Should this be possible we'll definitely visit again! Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

Beautiful small hotel with a tasty breakfast. Right in the center opposite a nice Korean restaurant. We were able to park right in front of the hotel. Not far from Boulders beach.

The bed was very hard as were the pillows. There is no curtain over the glass balcony door so the light was coming in. I had a very bad nights sleep.
