Morning Star Cabin

This log cabin is in a quiet, woodland setting 5 minutes drive to the centre of Nelson. The cabin was clean, the bed comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The communication with Maria was clear and helpful. We arrived to find a note of apology informing us that a planned repair to the bath/shower unit had not been completed in time. We were offered a full refund if we wanted to cancel (we stayed) or the use of the shower room on the campsite (which was fine). Maria was obviously embarrassed by a situation that was out of her control. In compensation she waived the charge for an extra guest we had stay over and treated us to an afternoon at the nearby Ainsworth Hot Springs (which was very enjoyable). So the problem was handled well in our opinion.

The beds were not the comfiest. One was too hard. One was too soft.

Beautiful area, close to town, clean, many amenities. Almost anything you can think of they have left for guest use.

cute cabins overlooking Kootenay lake. loved the loft and Queen bed was comfortable.

The bathroom was shared and in a separate building. There were no screens on bottom windows and it was so hot that the windows had to be open. Also futon was very uncomfortable.
