Maleficent's Retreat is located in the most sought after, family friendly, private community directly across the street from the Disney Resort. Whether you walk 10 minutes to the Mickey and Friends FREE tram that takes you to the front gates of the park, or 15 minutes to Downtown Disney, you just can’t beat the location. Enjoy quiet, hassle free, “backstage” access to the wonderful world of Disney and all the nearby shops and entertainment, right within walking distance of our home.

CITY REQUIREMENTS:

+ Max Occupancy - 7 individuals including infants (4 adults max) - Adding guest(s) after initial booking incurs additional guest fee
+ Minimum Night Stay - 3 nights
+ Parking/Max Vehicle Count - 2 vehicles MAX. 1 private single car garage (will fit a minivan) and 1 assigned parking space ONLY. No other parking available within the HOA. Passenger Vans, RVs and Trailers of any kind are strictly prohibited.
+ Pool - 6 guests max at one time, strictly enforced by HOA. No unregulated flotation devices, pool toys, etc allowed. Pool Facility Hours 9am - 10pm.
+ City mandated "Quiet Time" from 10pm - 9am. Outdoor facilities (pool, patio, garage/game rooms etc) are off limits during this time.
+ Guests must agree to comply with city requirements or they will be subject to any and all fines, civil actions and/or criminal prosecutions related to violation.
+ We reserve the right to decline requests leaving 2 day gaps in our calendar
+ Guest will need to fill out a rental agreement and will be sent a pre-arrival email with the address and a unique door code about two weeks before the stay.
+ Please note, reservations over 10 nights may incur an additional mid-stay cleaning fee.
+ Check-ins and/or Check-outs occurring on a Major Holiday may incur an additional cleaning fee
+No Smoking of any kind in the unit or the patio.
+You must be 25 years old or older to book with us.
+We would like to inform you that all reservations are subject to an additional $500-$700 STR Rules Deposit HOLD. This deposit ensures that our house rules are followed and helps protect our property. Please note that this STR Rules deposit is not charged unless the house rules are not followed.
+Small dogs allowed (under 25 lbs) - fee and deposit will apply. Inquire for more information.
+For the convenience and security of the Guest, Funtierland also accepts Visa and Mastercard credit card payments but reserves the right to charge a 3.95% convenience fee. No convenience fees are incurred for payment via paper check, e-check, or ACH in US Funds.
+All rentals booked/paid for within 30 days of arrival:
Extra screening/background checks and proof of payment are required.
Outdoor Security Camera(s): Security cameras are present on the exterior of the property only to ensure compliance with city mandated rules. One faces the backyard and the other faces the driveway. Cameras are not actively monitored but do send electronic notifications to Funtierland personnel for potential follow up with Guest if the cameras detect activity between approximately 10pm – 9am in alignment with Anaheim's city mandated Quiet Time Hours / Ordinance. Cameras may also monitor parking compliance including but not limited to confirming that no vehicles encroach upon or park over the sidewalk in any way, or illegally park on the street without a Funtierland provided parking permit. Please note the use of the property and all amenities are at your own risk whether or not security cameras are present.

Family of 5 with three teens. The location to Disneyland was AMAZING! Crossing the street was the hardest part of the trip, but this rental was close to the Disney parking structure so need to drive and pay for Disney parking. Cleanliness of the unit was great and no complaints about the unit. They constantly checked in and communicated with us.

The location was great, it was about a 15 minute walk if you cross the street in the middle and take the bridge to the trams in the parking lot for Disney. We appreciated the air mattress and small ice chest for the beach day. The neighborhood was a little sketch, a helicopter circled one night, looking for a person on foot. But I would stay again, for sure. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but it looked great. There's also a playground onsite for under 7 age, that looked cute. The parking is not attached, but not the end of the world to walk back and forth, however the garage is small. It was a tight squeeze for our Ford Explorer, we had to take off the Thule and the outside spot always had a car in it. Overall it was a great space and I would totally recommend.

This is my 2nd time renting this condo. Great location, within walking distance to Disneyland! Communication with the host is fantastic. Will definitely stay here again!

This complex is amazing for trips to Disneyland and California adventure. We’ve stayed in this complex several times and it’s perfect to walk back and forth. For us, this is a 15 minute walk from security at downtown Disney to the front door (with three kids).
As others had mentioned, there isn’t a lot of seating in the living room area, just a 3 person couch and two chairs. For a place geared towards families, a small sectional would’ve made it a bit cosier. As with other vacation rentals these days, there’s some updating that needs to be done, but it’s not a deal breaker due to the desirable location. Communication is excellent. Funtierland checked in with us several times prior to and during our stay. Overall, we would stay here again.
