Lovely Bournemouth cottage with beautiful large garden, 5 min to the beach by car

Close to the railway station and 25 minute walk to the beach.

I love this cottage. I took my 81 yr old Dad who has Alzheimer's, my adult sister who has severe disabilities and my 17 yr old daughter to stay here for what will probably be our last holiday before Dad's illness takes him. It was the perfect place, able to accommodate every need. It's not suitable for wheelchairs but my sister managed well with assistance. This was a very special holiday for us and the cottage was just perfect. Thank you so much for letting us rent your beautiful home. 🤗

The house itself is spacious and well set out, nice garden for dog. Good location. Owners very responsive to a few niggles.

We had one large saucepan to cook! but Penio sorted this very quickly once informed. Water pressure in kitchen is very weak which was a bit frustrating but we managed. Both bathrooms are dated and not very user-friendly. We had leaks from upstairs bathroom into kitchen as shower screen was not stopping water from going on floor. This was mentioned in a previous review also. Outdated bath mixer tap with hose on wall for shower very difficult to get water temperature correct and just very fiddly to use, also not much room to shower as sloping ceiling was over bath. Downstairs shower cubicle quite small and pressure was very weak. Run out of hot water a few times with six of us staying, but thats expected i guess. Heating control messed up and we were at one point at 26° with rads piping hot unable to control. Penio was great with trying to help solve this issue tho and it didn't spoil our stay. Smaller bedroom had stains on mattress protector. In general we had a pleasant stay but property is definitely in need of some updating and refinements to make it more comfortable.
