We were in town for a wedding and stayed at the Dairy Barn for two nights. Our host, Patricia, replied quickly to all my questions, and the barn was perfect! We loved the decor, the snacks/breakfast muffins/cold beverages waiting for us upon check-in, comfy beds, and the great linens. There was also access to a side road where we went on a long walk one morning. We will definitely be back - thank you!

I wanted to go to Fredericksburg and enjoy the city and the restaurants. The main thing I was looking for in a place to stay was an indoor fireplace. My husband and I love sitting in front of the fireplace and playing games When we arrived, we saw there was no fireplace. I had previously contacted the owner to see if they provided the firewood for the fireplace. However, I failed to verify that the fireplace was indoors. When I contacted the owner, she acknowledged that there had been an issue with VRBO When they went to a new platform and that all of her listings showed an incorrect description. She thanked me for letting her know and she corrected her listings. She also sent information that I should contact Customer Service at VRBO. I thought the VRBO was going to offer me some kind of a compensation however they stated only the host could refund and that was not something she wanted to do. VRBO did reimburse me their payment that they receive. All in all I just wanna reiterate that people need to verify what’s listed that you’re looking for and and enjoy. Although the place was very nice it was missing the fireplace inside and we were disappointed.

The Ava Haus Dairy barn was a cute, quaint little house and perfect for our girl’s weekend. Great location, just a couple miles from town. The male owner was even there to help us find the place and get settled in. FYI, There is a “quiet time” from 11PM-8AM. And I think the owners live within feet of this place. The stay itself was great. Until we checked out and the FEMALE owner was very rude. We had not been able to review the “rules” online because the owners pulled the listings from VRBO for a new management company. Upon checkout, the lady called to let me know she was very disappointed in how we were “DISRESPECTFUL” to the house. This was based on a couple things we didn’t know we needed to take care of (and didn’t think we needed to considering we paid a cleaning fee)— taking out the trash to the dumpster (we had gathered it up by the door), emptying the Keurig, and using the cheap face cloths to remove makeup. She clearly is in the wrong business and I hope now with new management they may have better luck renting out the place. I recommend researching this location on other sites and reading into other reviews, which seem very much the same as mine. Great rental but very rude and poor management by the FEMALE owner.

This place was so great! I took the women in my family on a girls trip and when I tell you my grandma's jaw dropped when she walked in!!! She was so overwhelmed by how cute this place was! Every detail was just so sweet! The donuts left for us, the selection of board games, and the super cute decor! Not to mention how close we were to main street and everything we had planned to do! We couldn't have picked a better place to stay! Thank you to our hosts and we hope to stay again!

We loved our stay at the Dairy Barn! It was beautifully decorated and so clean! The beds were incredibly comfortable! The owners were just a text message away and they thought of everything! From the snacks, drinks and goodies, from the games, and movies, we didn’t want to leave! It was so close to town, but it also felt like we were out in the country! It was so peaceful! We will most definitely be back!

The Ava Haus Dairy is the perfect getaway. My family of 4 stayed here for the second time & loved it even more this time! Comfortable beds, fun games, beautiful outdoor space & Patio, and the setting of Texas Hill Country make this a no Brainer. Patricia was awesome in pre-trip communication making the process extremely easy. She even provided kid friendly snacks knowing my kids were coming! Great place for a relaxing family getaway with plenty of room to spread out and within a mere 5 minute drive to all conveniences. You can enjoy the large porches for breakfast and evenings but can be noisy during the day with the road close-by. Quite nights anyway. Breakfast for first morning was provided and a lot of snacks and refreshments were left by our hosts. The house was super clean, sheets were crisp and cool and towels soft and fluffy. Check-in and checkout couldn’t have been easier. We recommend the place.

This place was perfect for three friends celebrating a bachelorette weekend. The location was great - very close to Main St. and convenient proximity for a trip to Enchanted Rock. The B&B had everything we needed and was very spacious for us three; it can easily accommodate 4 ppl comfortably. Patricia and her husband were the most welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts leaving us with delicious snacks and great conversation. I will definitely be looking to stay here again on my next trip to town.

It was very clean and so cutely decorated. Liked the location, very quiet but close enough to town. The owners added special touches, lots of snacks, muffins and a bottle of wine. You can tell the owners enjoy taking care of their place, it shows very much. There were 3 couples and we each had our own place. It was nice because we had our privacy but were close to each other. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!

Absolutely loved staying at AvaHaus ! Loved the coffee bar, muffins were delicious, snacks provided and a mini fridge. Enjoyed the movie selections provided. Can not say enough about all the little details and amenities provided. If you enjoy porches the Dairy is for you! Sweet lights in the evenings, mornings with plenty of birds to watch ! Absolutely loved this cute cabin. Just 2 miles from Main St. Fell in love when I saw the front porch. We walk in and just sigh. It’s like a step back in time. So relaxing and so much character. So many cute details. Patrica left an amazing spread of snacks, muffins(AMZING), water, OJ and yogurt. The towels even smelled so good. Beds are so amazing too!!i can’t say enough good things about the place. It was perfect!!

We were very impressed with our host, Patricia. We arrived early but were warmly greeted and allowed to go ahead and move our things and our pup into the Barn. Inside, we found the Barn rustic in keeping with its history and very clean. We also found a nice bottle of Chardonnay, delicious blueberry muffins, coffee pods for the Keurig, an assortment of snacks, and a mini-fridge stocked with bottled water, orange juice, and yogurts. There is also a small microwave, plenty of glassware, coffee mugs, plates,and silverware. The bath room was also well stocked with body wash, shampoo, hand soap, and plenty of thick white fluffy towels, which we really appreciated. Patricia has thought of just about everything to make your stay with her at any of the Ava Haus properties comfortable.
