Clean and comfortable, with good provision for self catering. We had temperatures well over 30 degrees every day but the house was cool and there are lots of lovely shady lounging areas in the garden. The views of the olive groves are beautiful and we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, watching the sunset from our upstairs terrace and the sky at night.
The roads are quiet, the nearest shops and small town is a short drive away and there are lots of hill towns to explore. There are lots of long sandy beaches within easy reach. Matera is a 45 minute drive away. Great base for exploring Basilicata.
