It would be hard to overstate the quality of Francesco's dedicated two floors — esthetically and otherwise. Outside, the piazza and drab entrance give little idea of the jewel inside: utter beauty and real comfort.

The host was very charming and was, justifiably, proud of his ancestral home. It's an amazing place with a lot of history and it was interesting to hear Francesco recount some family stories. The rooms are quite large and are well decorated and furnished in line with the ancestral feel of the home. Buffet breakfast is taken on one of the three roof terraces and the views are superb - I could tell you more, but there needs to be a surprise kept for you :) The ladies who help with breakfast and in keeping the home in tip-top condition are also friendly and helpful. It was a lovely relaxing stay. Francesco is a mine of information on Agrigento and it's really helpful to have someone on hand (and multi-lingual) to help navigate the bus system for your trip to the Temples as well as recommendations of places to eat. Terrazza di Montelusa is located a short walk from the end of the main thoroughfare through Agrigento centre and it's easy to find your way around.

Welcoming host to a fascinating apartment, excellent breakfast on the terrace with views over the rooftops. Good access to the town and good recommendations for restaurants.

Parking in the multistorey car park a little walk up hill with our bags on arrival.

Breakfast was served from 8:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. We showed up at 9 a.m. and looking at a couple of empty serving plates, we were told about the egg dish and large plate of meat and cheese that were no longer, because we were the last ones. Not acceptable.
