Beach Suite - Villas Del Mar

Simple room—the pictures were spot on. However, it’s just what you need if you are hanging by the beach or pool, or exploring the area. It was very clean and the property manager was lovely. She lives on site and is easily accessible if you need her. The pool was very clean and looked like it would be perfect to use. We were there only for a quick stopover and it was too chilly to swim. We had a nice walk down the beach to a restaurant and back at night. The property felt secure with gates at beach and street. Would recommend without question.

Lovely place, spacious room, good air conditioning, close to the beach, and close to town. Beto, The manager, could not have been more accommodating.

The room itself was spacious and clean. But, it was bare bones. Most of description not accurate. No hot water until the day after we asked for it. The shower a small dribble only. No stove, only micro. No teapot, not one single dish. On request, 2 plastic forks, 2 plastic plates, one rusted 5 inch knife provided. We bought 2 mugs to make ourselves tea. Water was not potable and although 1 mile from town, none was provided. We bought some in town. The fan didn’t work (air conditioner fine). TV did not work-no cable. Wifi didn’t work on arrival. Later worked intermittently. No place to put clothes, except your own suitcase. No information provided about horses, boats or kyaks. Some kyaks on premises. As we weren’t provided any dishes, we think the kyaks were not for residents. The pool was not clean, algae growing on bottom. The beach was a very short walk but you could not see it from the property. A lot of places in town with nice beach access. This could be a nice place if minimal thought was given. I thought this was more like glamping.
