If you’re looking for a break for a couple to be completely relaxed then we think Finca Serena is the perfect option for rest and recuperation. The massages were really good and the pool area is relaxing and quiet. Rooms are nice and are maintained well, however if your TV fans then the options are poor, we are from the UK and whilst we like being outside for most of our trip every now and again a movie night is much needed, there was literally only BBC1 and BBC2 in English. Smart TV definitely needed!
We read a lot of reviews around the food options on a nighttime and room service food options being poor. We can confirm this is true, I think it’s nice to have a 3 course meal one night whilst your away as a special occasion but every night becomes challenging and it’s a little over priced for things like the paella night. Room service options felt a little limiting as well.
I think options are needed to make the evening dinning a little less stuffy and traditional. It felt a little bit old school in its approach. I can understand that you need to make money to keep the business working but it feels like you’re trying to capture a cornered market as we are in the middle of nowhere which isn’t cool.
Overall we would rate this an 7/8 it’s idyllic location, beautiful architecture, nice interiors and good amenities in most areas provide a comfortable and really relaxing stay. Those used to a truely 5 star service may struggle a little here but overall we think that’s reflected in the price. If you stay at Finca you will most likely love it but have a couple of niggles about the above.
