About this house rental
Set above Onetangi Beach with wide sea views, Church House is a premium Waiheke retreat combining a freshly renovated three-bedroom home, private spa pool, north-facing outdoor living and a separate bunk sleepout. Sleeping up to 10 guests, with a maximum of 6 adults, it is well suited to families and groups wanting a high-quality stay close to the beach, vineyards and Onetangi dining.
The Space:
Church House is a freshly renovated Waiheke home set above Onetangi Beach, with wide sea views, a private spa pool and generous north-facing outdoor living.
The main house is arranged across one level and has a calm, well-finished feel throughout, with warm timber floors and an open-plan layout designed around the outlook. The living and dining areas open through bi-fold doors to the deck, creating an easy connection between the interior and the sea-facing outdoor spaces.
A wood-burning fire forms the centre of the living area during the cooler months, while reverse-cycle air conditioning provides heating and cooling for year-round comfort.
The north-facing backyard is one of the standout features of the property. A large outdoor dining table, gas BBQ and several seating areas make it well suited to long lunches, evening drinks and relaxed time outside. The hot tub sits within the garden, offering a private place to unwind while enjoying the elevated setting and views across Onetangi Bay.
Inside, the three-bedroom layout works particularly well for families and groups. The main bedroom has a king bed that can be split into singles on request and includes its own ensuite. The second bedroom also has a king bed that can be split into singles, while the third bedroom has a bunk bed.
The main house has two bathrooms in total: the ensuite to the main bedroom and a separate shared bathroom.
A separate sleepout at the front of the property provides additional sleeping space and has its own external access. It contains two sets of bunk beds, providing four single beds, and is best suited to children.
Church House can accommodate up to 10 guests across the main house and sleepout, with a maximum of 6 adults.
The combination of sea views, spa pool, renovated interiors, flexible sleeping and generous outdoor living makes Church House particularly well suited to guests looking for a higher-end stay close to Onetangi Beach and Waiheke’s vineyard area.

Onetangi Beach is popular for swimming, walking along the sand and spending time by the water. At the far end of the beach, Three Seven Two offers modern coastal dining, while Charlie Farley's sits directly across from the sand and is a popular option for meals, coffee and drinks.
Just inland is Waiheke's vineyard area, with Stonyridge, Tantalus Estate, Te Motu and Wild on Waiheke nearby for tastings and dining. The Heke is also close by, offering craft beer, spirits, food and outdoor areas.
Groceries and everyday essentials are available in Ostend, while Oneroa Village is a short drive away for shops, galleries and dining.

Taxis, hire cars, and e bikes are available across the island, and off street parking is available at the property.
