Well equipped and great location if you like small coastal towns

Location is amazing. You can hear the waves from the property. Nice outdoor and indoor areas. The property matched the photos and description. The instructions were good. We would definitely return with our dog. I’ve noticed many properties have stopped allowing dogs who weigh more than 25kg. Not this one - we are grateful.

Great location a block from the beach and also a short walk to the shops and cafes. Secure yard for the dog. Well equipped kitchen and a spacious living area. Lovely to hear the surf at night.

Property is looking a bit tired and could do with a freshen up - inevitable rust on outdoor fittings due to salt spray. A few blown lights indicating a bit of TLC required. No internet provided and for us there was almost no phone signal (OPTUS)

Easy access to the beach. 5 minute walk to village shops. Light and airy even in very poor weather. New microwave oven. Pet friendly. Covered outdoor deck and seating. Automated double garage door with direct entrance to the house. The large washing machine and dryer were invaluable as we had rain every day of our weeklong stay - the weather not in itself a problem, but would've been without these appliances! Generous 8 seater indoor dining table. Light laminate timber flooring gives a pleasant beachside style to the open plan kitchen/dining/living area and was easily swept/mopped.

No internet service, had to resort to hotspotting the smart TV to mobile phone, which was pretty ordinary since the area generally has poor mobile reception even with Telstra (very erratic intermittent Vodacom reception whilst walking, none at the house itself). Under counter bar fridge not working - easy for us as a couple but a family with the occupancy at full capacity would be hard pressed with the capacity of the free standing (sassy retro style) fridge alone, especially in summer. The Smeg cooktop and oven are a little battle weary as are the frying pans which have long since lost their "non-stick" qualities - so omelettes became scrambled eggs! A number of the recessed ceiling downlighters weren't working, the light of the main bathroom composite heater/extractor/light fitting flickered and made arcing noises so we avoided using it, internal staircase light did not work. We had to swap out a bedside lamp from the second bedroom (which we weren't using) to the main bedroom. Toilet seats are so loosely fitted they threaten to slide off whilst in use - uncomfortable! Closed off garden space for pets use and adjacent to outdoor spa bath was overgrown and unkempt. There had been no cleanup at all by the previous occupants after their (apparently large) dog. Annoying $15.83 additional fee charged by agents on arrival - something to do with the postponement of the booking due to Covid lockdown. Should I have charged them interest for sitting on $1,800 for over 9 months? Small weber BBQ only just coped with cooking for 2 - insufficicient oomph for a full house! Needs some minor general handyman effort -fit the downstairs bedroom doors snugly so they don't rattle when the endemic onshore wind blows, fix the main bathroom door handle, lights, toilet seats, tesnsion the deck shipping wire
