Sandy's Homestay

AC worked well and room was clean. On a quiet street so not noisy.

The shower head and hot water did not work very well, and there is no sink in the bathroom or the room, so you had to use the sink in the hallway to wash hands and brush teeth (I guess you could’ve used the faucet in the shower but that would’ve been awkward). Unlike other homestays, interaction w/ the host was brief (only to pick up and drop off the key). Breakfast was not included or available the day that we stayed, but there is a nice cafe around the corner (Amethyst) where you can get a light breakfast and good coffee on their shady patio.

Nice big comfy bed, room felt clean. Had access to communal cooking area with crockery, kettle, tea coffee etc We were able to check in early which was great Good location for a short stay before / after Ijen to recover. Some restaurants & shops around it as wells The shower had hot water, good aircon

Bathroom was pretty small, no sink at all in the room which was odd, but could use the tap setting on the shower The bathroom could have been cleaner too but it wasn’t too bad

The owner share recommeded destination during our stay, food is excellent.
