This newly renovated unit has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, an open living/dining/kitchen area and sits on 5 acres with over 300 feet of frontage on Lake Huron. It does have WIFI and A/C.
This wonderful Lake Huron waterfront property is a jewel! It's located on 5 acres with 300 feet of frontage on beautiful Lake Huron, just 5 minutes west of Mackinaw City. You can enjoy the peace and solitude of this lovely property or be in town in 5 minutes for your nightly ice cream cone. It features 2 bedrooms plus a double futon and will accommodate up to 6 guests. The unit is expansive and comes equipped with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing Northern Michigan vacation. It has a large eat-in kitchen for family gatherings. There are 2 decks, a fire pit, picnic tables and outdoor seating areas for enjoying picnics or sunbathing. The spacious yard overlooks Mackinac Island and the Mackinac Bridge. The view is spectacular! The beach is rocky and we recommend water shoes. This vacation rental is super clean and comfortable and is sure to provide the relaxing family vacation you are looking for. Bring your bikes and canoes/kayaks. There is a 60+ mile bike/hiking trail across the road from the cottage and you can easily launch your canoe or kayak from the waterfront.
The property is shared with 3 other units (VRBO 573800, 609883, 871262) which are also available for rent. Lem's Paradise #2, Million Dollar View and Little Lem's share the property and 330 feet of frontage on Lake Huron. You can rent any of them separately or together if you need extra space for a large family gathering. (There are beds for a total of 18). All dishes, pots and pans, linens, provided.
When you arrive, there is a horseshoe driveway. The owners live on the property in the main house between the 2 driveway entrances. Lem's Paradise #1 and #2 are located in the apartment unit on the right side of the driveway. When facing the building, Lem's #1 is on your far left. The name of the property is displayed near the door on the outside of each unit.
*We have opted to offer Damage Insurance at the cost of $55 for your stay in lieu of a refundable security deposit. It will be listed under fees as "Damage Insurance".
*WILDLIFE DISCLAIMER*
Coming to beautiful Northern Michigan includes the possibility of wildlife encounters. We have midges, spiders, mosquitos, occasionally black flies and an assortment of other insects. We spray regularly to keep them at a manageble level but we also don't want to damage the fragile ecosystem here. Note that where there is water, there will be spiders. They are very industrious and can build back a knocked down web within a day!
They are also great for controlling mosquitos and wasps, which we appreciate.
We treasure the wildness of the North and perhaps that is what attracts you.
Consider yourself lucky if you catch a glimpse of any of our other wild neighbors - black bear, wolves, deer, elk, coyote, fox, bobcats, porcupine, skunks, raccoons, eagles, hawks, squirrels, chipmunks and mice as well as a massive variety of birds.
We ask you to consider this before booking one of our cottages or cabins.
The presence of wildlife is part of the experience here and does not warrant a refund.

This is a lovely property on Lake Huron with lots of activities to do in nearby communities. Space was spacious and accommodated our family needs well. We enjoyed bonfires looking out to the lake.

The hosts were very gracious and the rooms were very clean. It was wonderful to have AC and ceiling fans, plus the other modern appliances for more food options. The area was beautiful too, not too close to Mackinaw City but not too far from civilization. Overall it was a great experience!

Lems 1 was great. The view is spectacular. The property is just as it’s pictured. The owners came after we got there and brought cookies which was a great touch. And the cookies were good! The place was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. We had a great stay. This was our first time up north. We went to Mackinac Island, Pictured Rocks(just a 2 hr drive) and Tahquamenon Falls(1.5 hr drive). The ferry was only 10 min away. The owners gave a list of things to do, see and eat around and it was super helpful. We will most definitely stay there again when we go back north.
