The cabin was clean and pretty well stocked. It was quiet and the grounds were well kept. Staff was prompt.
The facility has some sort issue that causes a really nasty smell to blow through often. I suspect a septic or drainfield

The cabin was what we were looking for - a small little getaway. It was fine for our needs. It was nice to have the full kitchen, and the owner greeted us in the evening on our first night. We never utilized the grill or bonfire areas, but those were nice touches.
The beach access wasn't great. Not viewable from the cabin, and was very steep to get to and so not small-child friendly. We were missing garbage bags (and required to remove all garbage prior to leaving), a coffee pot (one was brought the second or third day), or anything to put shampoo/soap on in the tiny shower. The bed was incredibly loud and is definitely due to be replaced. The futon was also incredibly uncomfortable. The New York themed decor was a bit odd for the space. There isn't much to do in Carp Lake so we would probably opt to stay elsewhere in the future. We were also charged a $79 cleaning fee and were expected to do much of the cleaning ourselves. Note that the heat is with space heaters, not forced air. The breakers popped when the space heaters and microwave ran at the same time. There is also a fruit fly problem which was pretty annoying. Overall, a bit pricey for what it was but could definitely have been worse.
