About this apartment rental
This bright, yet cool, condo has a private lanai that offers a view of both ocean and mountains. In addition to being right across the street from one of Maui's best swimming beaches, you will enjoy being close to grocery stores, shops, movie theater, restaurants and a bi-weekly farmers market. Snorkeling, whale watching and windsurfing are all nearby.
Full kitchen with all full-size major appliances including a gas cook top stove, full-size fridge, dishwasher, and kitchen disposal.Entertainment centre in living room containing stereo/tape/cd player, television and vcr/dvd combination.
Restaurants
There are new restaurants opening up continually on Maui. Fortunately right next door a great Mexican style restaurant has opened. Fantastic food and extremely well priced. Fun for all and you don't need a car to get there.
Location
As everybody knows, location is everything, and Kihei Akahi is in the best location in Maui. It is in the best areas for beaches, fun, and shopping. Walk to most everything you need including grocery shopping. Foodland and ABC stores just a few blocks away. There is also a sofa bed in the living room. Air conditioner is in the living room and have ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room. Very comfortable.

This condo was perfect for our stay. Everything you need for a day at the beach is provided . The complex has beautiful grounds that includes two pools and it’s very quiet and peaceful. Great communication from the host and the check in process was very easy. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Very nice condo with an ocean view from the lanai. Super easy beach access, and walking to shops. There are beach, chairs, hats, and body boards to use as well, fully equipped kitchen!Bill has great communication, he’s very nice and it shows he really cares about his guests! I would love to stay they’re on my next trip!

We had a great holiday on Maui! This condo is the perfect location -steps away from the beach, and the grounds were lovely. We made good use of the pool and bbqs. The unit also has good appliances. The atmosphere is laid-back and ideal for someone wanting a quiet and relaxing stay. Bill was a great host- great communication and very friendly.
The downfall was the air condition not reaching the bedroom- as this did affect our stay. We did read this in other reviews but thought we would be able to manage it. We spent time trying to figure out a way to create air flow and even purchased extra fans. In our opinion, it was too hot in there to sleep (between 27-30 degrees C), so we ended up using the sofa bed and trying to sleep between the springs. And as other reviews have stated, the condo is dated and could use some sprucing up and a good hard scrubbing, and perhaps some new sheets and towels.
With some way of adequately cooling the bedroom, we would definitely stay again! If this isn’t something that bothers you, then you will have a fantastic stay. Every day is a good day on Maui. Thank you for letting us use your place!
