Cottage 2 New Yatt Farm

Lovely compact cottage. Everything you could need inside plus great outdoor seating which was perfect in the glorious weather.

The shower was brilliant but the holder was stuck together with gaffer tape and not really functioning- we couldn’t leave a note in the maintenance book or the guest book as there was no pen and we didn’t bring one 🤪

The hosts have used the space so well, the cottages have everything you may need, very clean and smelt amazing! It was so peaceful, relaxing environment and a perfect location - would really recommend.

Lovely cottage with great character in a lovely quiet countryside location. It has a wood burning stove which was great for the cold February evenings and made it very cosy (though the cottage was already nice and warm). Cottage was very clean and has all the facilities we needed. The host Alan answered any questions very promptly. Parking was easy. We had a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be back!

Nothing we can think of

We liked the location as it was quiet but we could reach nice places and eateries easily. The easy access to the Wychwood Way for a dog walk was a plus for us. The cottage was reasonably equipped and quite cute. The tame robin and white doves who joined us for breakfast in the garden were lovely.

There was no proper hanging space for clothes, the loo seat needs repair and the bedroom door bangs shut loudly. The garden had no shade facility - a parasol would have been welcome in the heatwave. A dozen pots full of weeds and dead plants and an overgrown rose were not great either. A lighter duvet for summer is needed for the otherwise good bed. The experience was impersonal and we saw no one. Milk, teabags and 5 coffee capsules for the dreaded Nespresso machine were on offer but that's all.
