About this house rental

Come stay at our beautiful Lake View Log Cabin home on the Public side of Lake Anna VA with a private dock to dock your boat or wave runner. & also a deck (1/2 shed covered to enjoy some shade as well. Great cove to swim , fish & sit and relax at the water. Just a short walk down a gravel road to our dock.

We are in a family-friendly neighborhood/cove (no parties and no events) please! IF YOU ARE PARTIERS DO NOT REQUEST TO BOOK.

Renters are responsible for their own linens - all TOWELS & SHEETS, or use Lake Anna Linens which are great!

2025- Brand new floors on the main floor, along with new granite counter tops.

We are in a unique community- Both Waters Estates- you have access to bother the public side or private side of the lake. The boat launch is less than a mile down the road.

We have 2 outdoor security cameras. One is under the deck steps & faces the small side white garage door. This door is not accessible to renters. The other is in a tree that faces the new steps up to the front door.

HIGH SPEED INTERNET

Our Log Cabin home has a nice large wrap-around shed-covered porch that faces the public side of Lake Anna, the perfect place to hang out to play games, watch the wildlife fly by and cook your favorite foods. The cove you face is not the cove where our dock is, that is the main part of the lake.

Sorry we love Pets but we Do Not accept Pets.

Both rooms have a stunning view of the Public side of the lake. Both have window AC units as well as ceiling fans. These rooms tend to be the warmest in the warmer months of the year. The AC units cool the rooms quickly, please do not let them run all day.

The house has everything you need, and a dock. While the dock is a short walk down the hill, once you get there there is a great cover and a couple chairs to sit and relax. Access to both the Private and Public side of the lake is a huge plus, our weekend wasn't too busy so we stayed on the public side. All in all definitely a place we would come back to.

This nice little cabin in the woods was a very nice peaceful place to stay for our yearly week vacation to Lake Anna this year. Sleeping arrangements for our group of 12 were great, that it fit everyone comfortably in most of all beds except 1 we didn’t use. It was a nice location on the lake, the farthest down we’ve ever stayed. It was more quiet and peaceful because of not a lot of boat of ski traffic. One downside is, for any big group that likes to gather around all at once or would like to eat together inside instead of outside with the bugs, lol, the inside whole living/dining/bar kitchen space isn’t that big. Also, if you sit at the bar on the one stool directly behind the one kitchen table chair, no one is able to sit in that one chair. We ended up having to bring in our own camp chairs to sit in, to eat. The spiral staircase is a beautiful addition to the home but have to use extreme caution with kids using it. Myself personally would hate to be the one to drag baskets of clothes up and down that thing on laundry day! lol. The neighbors were top notch to the extent the older lady in the red house let the kids use their kid kayaks! Recommendation here, if don’t like walking down and back a long slight hill of a driveway to the dock, I’d suggest renting a golf cart. Especially if you have bags or cooler to carry. Michele was an excellent source of quick communication back with anything that we needed.

We are local and booked to host out of town family to visit with our son before his graduation. It's perfect for a small family group to relax and visit. The house was clean, the pillow and mattress protectors were pristine and the beds were soooo comfortable. Clear check in and check out instructions and a very responsive owner/manager. Will rent again!

The house was clean and exactly how it was described on the website. There was lots of room for us to sleep and lots of space for our family. Instructions were easy to follow, I loved the option to rent linens, in communication with the owner was simple, I felt like I was talking to a friend.

We had a great time. The house has lots of beds and bathrooms, a nice veranda, and a great water view. I recommend that the description be updated to say that there is no indoor dining room table, only a small breakfast nook and several stools at the counter. Fortunately, the weather was nice enough for the family of 6 to eat Thanksgiving dinner on the large veranda which had plenty of tables and chairs.

We had a great week at the Lake House. The kids enjoyed swimming off the dock and we rented a pontoon boat from Dukes Marina and enjoyed tubing on the lake. House was clean and well maintained. Recommend this property for a family vacation.

Accommodations were great. TV wasn’t working but we were notified ahead of time and spent most of the time staring at the beautiful lake views rather than be inside!

We vacationed with our best friends and their children. Spent most of the time in the water either on our boat or on kayaks and paddle boards. Ending the evening on the deck playing cards while the kids played corn hole or caught fireflies was perfection. Our only regret was that the weekend we chose coincided with an annual jet boat tournament/fundraiser which made for loud boats driven by folks not super respectful of keeping away from fishing vessels. That has no reflection on the property, just our future vacation planning.

We rented the property 7/17-7/24/21 and had the most relaxing vacation. The location was peaceful with lake views. We rented a golf cart for the week to allow the daily trips to the lakefront and trips around the neighborhood. The dock had easy access to the water, where we floated on tubes and launched kayaks. The neighboring dock was close but the family was very friendly. The size of the house allowed each of our family members to have their own level, so we had privacy and enjoyed board games on the porch in the evenings.

We loved this log cabin. Access to both the public and private side. Surrounded by trees, and yet full view of the lake. Nice private yard with horseshoes, firepit, picnic table. Great wrap-around deck with view of the water. We absolutely loved our weekend getaway. Can't wait to come back in the fall and enjoy warm water when the "big lake" is too cold for swimming.

Had a great time there. Good location back from the water with a small pier big enough for my boat and jetski. The cove is secluded from the main water so that is a plus. The walk down the hill is to the pier is alot of exercise, however you can drive down there but must back up the hill which isn't a problem. The owners a very nice and helpful and the house has plenty of beds and room to sleep. The stairs to the main floor can be a problem if there are elderly. We would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a great location.

Our extended family celebrated my son’s 10th birthday at Lake Anna. The house and dock were perfect! Plenty of room for everyone to spread out; the porch was perfect with a beautiful view of the lake; the dock was great for fishing and taking the boat out; the yard was spacious and fairly private for games, a bonfire and grilling. Michele was very accommodating, easy to reach and a pleasure to work with!

Lovely lake views and a comfortable place. The kitchen was well stocked. My only recommendation would be for more and brighter lighting - it was a bit dim after dark. Also want to recommend R&R Rentals who delivered two tandem kayaks for us to use for the weekend.

We do an annual trip dads + kids, leave moms at home. driving down from N Virginia. Easy ride < 2 hrs. Nice location. about 100 yards from the Lake and has private dock you can fish off of or just load your kayak. Kids wanted a 'camping' experience so we were able (with permission from owner) to pitch tents to the side of the house. Nice to have the house for inclement weather etc. Owners are very nice easy to communicate with. would stay again.

This was a great place to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with some of her best friends. Enjoyed the private dock and lake surroundings. The house sleeps 12 lots of beds and 3 full baths, very log cabin feel, just wished the backyard was closer to lake but it wasn’t bad. I was in town for a couple days for business and was going to be attending a corporate event at Lake Anna so just decided to stay close to the event so that I wouldn't need to drive 2 1/2 hours after being out on the lake all day. Reservation and check-in was a breeze and the owner, Michelle, was very responsive throughout my stay. Wi-fi was provided free of charge. The cabin is well appointed and spacious with plenty of rooms and beds to accomodate large groups. In my case, I was the only one staying there but wanted to have extra room in case others wanted to crash after our lake party. While nobody ended up staying the night, several people came over and we were able to utilize the large upstairs deck, patio chairs/tables, and gas grill to have a nice BBQ. The kitchen also had everything I needed to cook and plenty of spices left behind by previous renters were a nice bonus. The property is a short walk down to the lake and they have their own boat dock as well as space in the yard for games. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would stay again. There are a few things that prevented me from giving this a 5* rating: 1. Linens are not provided despite a washer and dryer being on premises. I paid over $100 to rent linens from a local company. On the positive side, the owner did recommend the company so I at least had an option to turn to. 2. There is a $500 refundable deposit that has to be paid along with your booking. I don't really have an issue with the deposit itself, however, it can take up to 15 days after you check out for HomeAway to release the funds back to you. There are also quite a bit of rules and limits on what you can do in the home and specific and exhaustive lists of how things need to be left when you depart. I spent quite a bit of time cleaning and making sure I wouldn't be in danger of losing my deposit while also paying an additional cleaning fee. Just seemed a bit restrictive and redundant and took away from the time I could've been relaxing. 3. Towels (obtained through linen company), Soap, Paper Towels, Toilet Paper, Laundry Detergent, etc. are not provided and so I had to make a run to the store to get them. For such a short stay, it was a minor inconvenience to have to do that and I ended up leaving them to benefit the next tenant. I would've appreciated having at least a starter supply of these items. Again, had a good time and the overall experience was very positive. Thank you!

This home was a perfect getaway place for our boys and us. Although we had a lot of rain, the house is stocked with board games and made time fly. The owners are very easy going, and considerate. We were able to delay our checkout on the last day, so we could enjoy a full day on the water with (finally) good weather. Thank you for letting us stay in your home. We had a relaxing time.

We had a wonderful week in this home! All in all we had 8 adults and one infant and we had plenty of room. The eating area inside is a bit small, but we ate out on the deck most of the week. What would make this perfect, is if it was directly on the lake. My parents don't sit down by the water/dock and it would be nice if they could have seen the dock from the front porch so they could see their grandchildren playing! All in all, it was very clean and well kept and we enjoyed our week immensely!

The house was plenty big to accommodate our family. The house was clean and neat and the ac was a plus. The owner was very helpful and responsive to questions about the house prior to our arrival. The area is very relaxing. We rented a pontoon boat for tubing and swimming off of during the week and the kids had a blast. The lake is huge and so clean! I have recommended the area to many friends since our return. We will surely plan another Lake Anna vacation for next year!

My husband, 2 sons and 3 of their friends had a fantastic time! Lake Anna is just beautiful, the house was filled with beds and so clean. We rented a pontoon boat from John Romano for the entire time- it was perfect! John's crew dropped off the boat at Michele's dock, showed us how to use it and we enjoyed all the beautiful Lake Anna sights. And tubed, of course! Lastly, thank you Michele for working with us on our last minute getaway- you were so accommodating to our needs. Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us!! Can't wait to go back!

Great owners, great place. I love having the option to launch my boat on either side (private or public). This place is clean with the at home feeling. The walk is about 1.5 blocks but easy and is probably the reason the rate is so good. I have recommended other families and would stay here every time I rented.
