Matagorda is noted for it's great beach, fishing & birding. You can drive on 20 miles of beach. Fishing, shelling and birding is always good. This is not like Galveston with herds of people. The only herds are cattle that you may see behind the beach grazing on winter grass.
All you have to bring is food, beach towels & your favorite toys. Kitchens are fully furnished, with enough supplies for several days. Condos are right next to the club house and pool. Just walk out your door and cross the bridge. You are just a short walk to the sand dunes, cross them and you are on the beach or you can get a beach permit from the local stores and drive on the beach.

Great place overall with location that was awesome and pretty . Communication was good with no issues to contact needed but a phone call away if so and access to beach was close with walking trail and nearby road to drive onto. Altho just 2 of us , large enough for 6 at a great price! just note it is a Dated property with pool house w available washer/dryer in need of replacement and ice machine not working BUT leaving on a good note, pool was great and definitely a good place to stay . Thanks for a great weekend.

We had a wonderful trip. Everything is perfect. So close to the beach. Swimming pool on property kitchen has everything you need. Worked out perfect

The location was great and the pool was awesome. We were there for July 4th and there were PLENTY of fireworks out on the beach.That being said, this is an older condo and it kinda looks it. The pictures are also a little misleading in that the sofa shown is not what is currently in the condo. The current sofa is more like a daybed from the 1960s with no back. Also, there is not a picture of the spiral staircase leading to the loft upstairs where the 2nd bed and bath are located. Due to this lack of knowledge one of our party had to sleep on a very uncomfortable sofa because they couldn't make it up the spiral stair case. Also, the A/C vent outside the downstairs bathroom needs to be cleaned and there was also a roach motel under the sofa that our toddler got into. Yuck!
