About this apartment rental

This beachfront ground level vacation home has unobstructed ocean views from a twelve foot bay window. This two bedroom that sleeps six can be rented with the second level five bedroom that sleeps fourteen. Sit inside or on the outside patio of one of the larger properties in desirable south Mission Beach, and enjoy as you watch the world go by. This charming two bedroom unit sleeps up to six, bedroom one has a queen bed and cable TV, bedroom two has two twins and cable TV. There is another TV in the living room with a queen sofa sleeper. The kitchen is well equipped. The large shared beach front patio is set up with a minimum of four BBQ's, two gas and two charcoal grills. It has three picnic tables with umbrellas. and plenty of seating area for sunbathing, reading or just relaxing. There is a portable wood burning pit.
There are plenty of beach toys, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and a few bikes on a first come basis. There are two parking spots, large enough for two midsize vehicles, one in front of the other on a four car parking pad.

This is an ideal home away from home. We could hear the waves from the living room and the ocean view is gorgeous. The host took immense care in making our stay as hospitable as possible. They had all the amenities that we needed as a family. Would definitely return!

Great location and attention to details to make our stay that much better! The hosts are on site (in another unit) and quick to help with little things, like a wrench to adjust bike seats! Thanks Marta and Ben, we will be back!

We rented both the 5 bedroom (upstairs) and the 2 bedroom (downstairs). We used the upstairs kitchen and living area and only used the bedrooms downstairs to sleep. The house was clean, beautifully appointed and Marta and Ben, even had fun welcome gifts for us. Any questions we had, were quickly answered. The kitchen was the best supplied VRBO kitchen that we've experience, including 2 coffee makers and a Ninja blender! They had a garage full of "toys" for all ages, including surf boards, great fun for all! The location of the house on the boardwalk is perfect, with spectacular views and volleyball nets right out our door. It was also close to restaurants and shops, but at the quieter end of the boardwalk. We will rent this unit again when we return to San Diego. We highly recommend this beautiful home. My husband, son and myself had a terrific stay in this lovely condo with those wonderful views. There were extra amenities such as a bottle of wine, chocolates and even large shampoo, a large conditioner and many spices. There was a very comfortable king bed and extra soft towels. We would definitely love to stay here again if we visit San Diego.

Highly recommend this spot if you want to have easy access to a great beach! We love staying on the beach with kids so that we can come and go as we please without loading and unloading the car every time. Beds were very comfortable, the whole place was clean and welcoming. They provided a pack n play for our baby that could fit in the open closet area of the room with the queen bed, the hallway by the kitchen, the living room or in between the twin beds! Plenty of options to get everyone settled. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of towels and bedding. Access to a washer and dryer and all kinds of beach stuff in the attached garage/storage area. Very kind a gracious hosts. The bathroom is smaller, if that's something you care about, but it's more than enough for us for the week. Our cell phones didn't get great service, just FYI, but the WiFi was great. Highly recommend.

This property was perfect for my husband, my two teenagers, and myself. Ben contacted us the morning we flew in, and was so kind! When we arrived, it was easy to just settle in and relax. The hosts left great eatery recommendations, and our daughters loved riding the provided bikes up and down the boardwalk daily. The location was perfect. It was a quieter part of the boardwalk, so we felt we had our own private beach. The place was clean and provided everything we needed. We hope to return!!

We has a group of about 15 and we reserved the 2 bedroom condo and the 5 bedroom condo. Both units were wonderful and our hosts are the best I've ever had!! Been and Marta are accomodating, easy to work with, and provide a truly exceptional vacation experience. We loved watching the dolphins play while we sat on the patio, drinking coffee in the morning and the sunsets are like works of art. We had such a great time using the bikes, boogie boards and other beach toys. Our rooms were comfortable and all the furniture is quite nice and so are the linens. Everything is clean and well maintained. The units were unbelievably well stocked with everything you could need. The location is perfect, right in the beach and a short walk or bike ride from the bay. There is food, shopping and entertainment within walking distance. We will come back every chance we get!

I love this rental unit. This is my 2nd stay in this unit. I have stayed all up and down the boardwalk and this unit is by far my most favorite spot yet! The view from the unit is fantastic. The host and hostess are THE best people I have met there yet! They are very responsive and go above and beyond to provide everything one could ask for in a beach stay. I will definately be staying again.

Our visit to San Diego was awesome because of our stay here on Mission Beach. The hosts were excellent, the house was incredibly clean and well equipped , and the view , location, beach and sunsets were perfection. This was exactly the respite our family needed. We loved this rental! The owners were so friendly and kind. The best part of the rental was the view and location. We enjoyed watching the sunsets every night and loved walking the boardwalk multiple times/day. We utilized the bikes, surf boards and skim boards. We were completely entertained watching the volleyball players playing outside our condo and we even played volleyball. I have no complaints about this place!

Awesome location right on the beach with a great walking path right outside your door. Easy to get downtown or up the coast. Marta was extremely responsive and kind. House was the right size for our family of 4 and had what we needed. Some of the bedding could be upgraded, home is older and shows wear and use. Garage was stocked with bikes, chairs and sand toys. Best part is location - recommend if you don’t need anything fancy but want a great beach spot.

WOW! WOW!! WOW!!! Honestly!!! This property, and location, is AMAZING!!!! The pictures, inside and out, do not do this Mission Beach gem justice. (Of course, you can't hear the roar of the surf in the photos, now can you??!!) We stepped into the house, gazed out at the ocean, through the HUGE window and just giggled with delight!! :) Better than we had expected!!! It rained the first couple days we were there, and was quite windy and cool, but that made the view from the living room all that much more appreciated!! The property was immaculate, we cooked in every night and found the kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was comfy, and the outside patio area was SO welcoming. The walking path directly in front of the property, and down the beach, was such a treat!!! And what a gem to the community!! After 5 days we even got to recognizing the locals on the path and on the beach! It was a real treat to meet Marta and Izzy on our final day at the rental. Marta was so extremely easy to work with, answered any questions immediately, and kept an open line of communication. That was much appreciated!! This was our first time in San Diego and we did not plan enough time to see and do all there was!! Especially because we were too busy enjoying the property and the walking path!! We can hardly wait to return to this rental!! We WILL definitely be back!! Thank you for sharing your special home!!

Our family of 14 rented this property and the other one. We had 8 adults and 6 kids from 14 to 2 years old. The family of 4 stayed in the smaller unit downstairs and the rest of us upstairs so there was plenty of room. The view was beautiful, right on the beach. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Marta was an excellent host who left us wine and chocolates! Would definitely recommend!

We loved the location, right on the beach and boardwalk. Our family used the bikes quite a bit to explore the area and visit Belmont park. Easy drive to the zoo, La Jolla, downtown San Diego and many activities. We would definitely stay here again!
