This lovely home was built by a renewed 1960's post-war architect who was known for his inventive and eccentric touches to the homes he designed. Many original details abound in this Mid-Century gem. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room and bedrooms fill these rooms with bright sunshine and open the rooms to lovely views of the bay. The garden view out the living room window looks like a painting come to life. The large windows infuse the home with light and views from every direction. The hardwood floors gleam and the cool 1960's wet bar beckons you to make an evening cocktail. The gas fireplace will keep you warm on those foggy days.

-A dining room with hardwood floors, patio doors opening up onto the outdoor deck and cool 1960's wet bar. Dining room table seating for 6.
-A gourmet kitchen with a double oven, a gas range, a dishwasher, chopping block and a fully stocked kitchen awaiting your gourmet meals. Enjoy a visit to one of the many local farmers markets and then cook up a gourmet meal in our kitchen.
- Two huge and sunny upstairs bedrooms with wall-to-ceiling windows and bay views. Bedrooms have luxurious king beds with new mattresses and memory foam pillow tops. New bedding and furniture. Sleep soundly for hours in these dreamy beds. Rooms also have 2 closets and dresser space. One bedroom has a desk in case you need to work on your vacation.
-One smaller, detached bedroom with a twin day bed that pulls out to a king sized bed or 2 twins. PLEASE NOTE: This space is detached from the main inner living space. You must walk outside and up some stairs to access the main house, including the bathroom. New bed and mattresses in this room as well. Electric fireplace for a cozy nights sleep.
- A large main bathroom with tile shower and bathtub.
-A tiled half bath with toilet and sink.
-Ample parking in the driveway (2-3 cars) and ample non-permitted parking on the street. You won't be stressed about parking at our home!
-Washer and Dryer
-Walk to several nice parks, the Rose Gardens, the UC campus and many upscale restaurants, cafes and shops. Walking distance to the Gourmet Ghetto! Walk to bus lines and bike ride to BART. Short drive to Tilden Park and downtown Berkeley.

My place is close to the UC Campus, Gourmet Ghetto with it's fine shops and restaurants, Solano and its many shops and restaurants, Berkeley Rose Garden, several parks, Tilden Park, bus line and BART. Close walking distance to so many places and let located in a quiet and serene neighborhood that feels a million miles away from hustle and bustle. Ample parking in the driveway and on the street. A perfect spot for your stay in the city!

Loved this gem in Berkeley!! Location was perfect. Just a quick ride from downtown Berkeley. We had an amazing view all the way out to the ocean, and this was especially wonderful at night when we were out on the deck in the hot tub. The home is dated but clean and has anything you would need. The appliances in the kitchen are “new retro” and in great shape. Communication with owner was perfect. The gated yard was great for our small dog. Enjoy!

There are many nice things here! Two bedrooms have great views and comfy beds, though one bed was broken on one side. The living room is very nice and has great views. The hot tub is very nice. However, the third bedroom has no direct access to a bathroom, is very very small (less than 80 sq feet I think though I didn't measure), and had no Internet access at all. We had three paying parties and one had to have a bedroom that was much worse than the others.

First, the highlights: the house location, easy parking, the incredible deck overlooking SF, the two main bedrooms with excellent linens and pillows, the well-appointed living room, the very appreciated bottle of wine welcoming us, that was all fantastic. However, the out of control mildew smell coming out of that main air vent on the floor in the main hallway outside of the bedrooms, is just not OK for a rental property this expensive. And mildew smell was so overwhelming in the detached third bedroom that my adult son had to sleep in the living room. One non-major issue was challenge of fluctuating water temp in the shower; it's a classic problem in an older house and it's an easy fix, but requires a plumber to come in and remove some tiles and replace/repair the hot water faucet. Resolve the mildew issue (of course, not a minor expense) and this property is a home run. Just loved this place, and I used to own a home 1/2 mile away.
