About this house rental
Our beautifully remodeled 3 bedroom/2 Bath Craftsman house has period details and built-ins and is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. We have a sunny kitchen with a dining room over looking our backyard and deck. We are only 5 blocks (10 minutes walking) to BART (the local subway), 1.8 miles to the University of California, Berkeley, and 10 miles to San Francisco. We occasionally rent our house on HomeAway (VRBO) but we have rented our house on other apps for many years and have "Superhost" status.
There are 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have Queen beds. One bedroom has a double bed and an extra twin mattress on request. We also have a couch in the living room that folds down into a bed
There is a full kitchen with an induction stove, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer, toaster, coffee maker, blender, waffle maker, pots, pans and dishes. Spices flour, sugar, etc. The yard is filled with flowers and plants and makes for a enjoyable place to gather with friends and family. We have high speed internet (100 mbps) and wifi.
Guests may use the piano and our Sonos sound system. There are two Smart TVs with Roku. no cable TV. You can use our Netflix account. You may also log into your own accounts like Hulu. Just remember to log out of your own accounts before you leave.
The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. We are less than a mile from the famous Berkeley Bowl grocery store which offers acres of organic produce. There are also coffee shops, restaurants, parks, and the Ashby Stage (our local theater company) within a mile walking distance.
As mentioned we are close to the subway system and with it you can get to downtown Berkeley in 2 minutes or to San Francisco in 20 minutes. There is a bus stop one block away. Uber or Lyft (phone apps) are a way to get cheap taxi rides within 5 minutes. It is a pleasant half-hour walk to downtown Berkeley, located 1.5 miles away. There is easy access to Highway 80 (1.2 miles away) if you want to drive to San Francisco.
There is a driveway. You do not need a permit and there are no time limits on our street.
Check in is 3pm and check out is 11:00 a.m.

The house was just as described. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfy, the outdoor space is nice, it's a close walk to BART stop and Berkeley Bowl. Very nice, very Berkeley style house.

Loved the location... So near to the Bart station and highway but still tucked away enough to feel not on the beaten path. Loved the fully stocked kitchen... We didn't enjoy end up spending much time outside due to the chilly weather but the outside space seemed great! Perfect for this family of 5.

The house was so perfect for our family of 5! The mattresses were really good ones, which for a two week stay really matters. We lived on the wonderful deck off the back of the house and ate all our meals there. The space is ideal for hanging out and relaxing: from the comfy couches for the kids to binge watch movies, to the hammock in the backyard, to the kitchen well suited for all our cooking (Berkeley Bowl is within walking distance, so we went crazy!) It is also walking distance to a great Iyengar yoga studio (Adeline) and the Berkeley Zen Center for sitting meditation. From the moment we walked in the door, I felt utterly comfortable and at home. We loved all the flowering trees and also appreciated being able to quickly walk to the BART. The house was super clean and better provisioned than any other rental we've ever had. Julie was totally responsive. I can't say enough great things about this home, location, and ambiance.
