About this house rental

HANDICAP FRIENDLY, ELEVATOR! This is the perfect home to make lasting memories. All generations of the family will appreciate the convenience of the elevator! The handicap pleasing bedroom is sure to be a hit.

We have fabulous ocean views from our mid level and crows nest deck where you can relax and watch the moon and stars above the blue Atlantic. Direct beach access is only 75 yards away offering access to beautiful white sandy beaches.

Our home is located close to Jockeys Ridge State Park and all of the great dining, shopping, and water sports that Nags Head has to offer. Within walking distance of Tanger Outlet Mall, Jennette's Pier (which is handicap accessible to the beach) and the Events Park! After a day full of shopping and adventure the elevator will be a welcome amenity to come back home to!

3 CATVS, 1 DVD, HD Service on all TV's. Other amenities include elevator, books/board games, crow's nest, covered deck, ADA Handicap Bathroom w/Roll-in Shower, and deck furniture and built-in benches. Public Beach Access Across Street, just 1 Block Walk to the Ocean! 75 yards to the beach. Milepost 16.5.

The house itself was great — plenty of space, comfortable, and in a fantastic location within walking distance to Jennette’s Pier and several restaurants. Lots of room to hang out and relax. That said, I was very disappointed to find that almost no basic amenities were provided. We had to buy our own paper towels, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper — basically everything. For such a nice place, this should be an easy fix, but it turned into a big inconvenience during our stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is great, handicap accessible and close to accessible beach access. Our 9th year and we will back for tenth. The accessibility is the reason we come to outer banks. Only minor complaint that we have is that the mattresses need updating as well as the couches. The house has been updated frequently over the 9 years that we have been renting, (floors, kitchen etc). Overall, an incredible place to stay especially if you have someone in your family that is wheelchair dependent. Also, the crows nest is amazing.

My husband is in a wheelchair and had no issues getting around. The roll in shower and shower chair were perfect.Overall the house was well maintained. No issues with any of the appliances. Cleanliness was an issue as the floors needed to be vacuumed on the top floor. My son moved the coffee table to get something that fell and it was quite dirty.Our only issue was the fact there was no elevator key as there has been in the past. My husband had to have someone with him so they could go in the house to send the elevator. I did contact the rental company about the key; she didn’t know what I was talking about. She said someone would call me back but nobody ever did. While the lack of a key was inconvenient, it would not deter me from renting again.
