About this apartment rental
Welcome to one of the rare ground floor 2 bed/2bath den units, offering extra side windows and even an extra lanai off the master bedroom. Indoor/outdoor living is what we love about our tropical home, with 3 lanais you can always find a quiet piece of paradise here. This roomy end unit enjoys the largest ground level floor plan with a window over the kitchen sink looking out into our banana grove. This, along with the window in the small den bedroom, brings the outdoors in, provides lots of natural light, and allows for cooling cross breezes. The master bedroom offers a California king bed, while the den bedroom provides 2 cozy twins. The sleeper sofa in the living room pulls out to a memory foam queen mattress. We have chosen not to use window coverings in the main living space as we love the openness this allows with wide glass patio doors. For those who choose to sleep on the sofa bed, you will likely be rising with the sun. We supply beach towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas for your enjoyment at the beach. When you are relaxing in the unit enjoy convenient wifi at no extra charge and smart TV. As an additional bonus we have included unlimited free calling to the United States and Canada. You will love the 'private garden' feel to the expansive Maui Kamaole grounds. J101 is located in a quiet, private corner near the upper tropical pool, and has several BBQ's near by (two right outside the back door). We offer discounted rates for stays of 28 days or longer (automatically applied). The host was very welcoming. Heated pool and the grounds are very well kept. Our fridge stopped working and all our food went bad, but these things happen. The property delivered a small fridge a day later.

Yes, the host was welcoming. The amenities were fine. Perhaps curtains or shades of some sort would help block the hot afternoon sun coming into the living room and give a little more privacy after dark.

Very clean and well thought out condo. Kitchen has everything you need to cook and the indoor/outdoor dining options offer more setting for families. Very quiet and serene, exactly the escape we were looking for from a busy life. Holly responded to every question I had promptly. Would highly recommend to other guests!

The air conditioner in the second bedroom (where both my girls were sleeping) was broken. The owner was quick to reply when I told her about this after our first night. She did get someone to look at right away but unfortunately it needed a new part and was not fixable for the remainder of my holiday (until the day before we were scheduled to leave). So essentially, my girls had to sleep in a stuffy hot room for this holiday.There are 2 other AC units in the front room and main bedroom, but they obviously don’t work for the second bedroom (we tried!!!)It’s a very small room but otherwise serviceable. Sliding doors are not at all soundproof, but this didn’t bother us.I expected the owner to give a discount for our stay that reflected the fact that we didn’t have the unit that was advertised, and that it was not comfortable for us at night due to the AC failure. After SEVERAL communications back and forth, the owner only offered 1 night refund which I felt was not really fair given that we rented for 10 nights and the inconvenience that this caused us. (I would never rent anything without full AC on Maui). She offered to provide a fan and a dehumidifying cooling unit, but I declined as I actually just wanted real AC!! The owner tried to offer a fan (the broken AC unit was essentially a fan already and we were using it!), and a “dehumidifying cooling unit”. I declined because these are loud and don’t really cool the way AC does. The room is also tiny so I have no idea wher
